Good Molecules (getgoodmolecules.com) is a small skincare company, kind of along the lines of The Ordinary, that concentrates on lower-cost options with good ingredients. They had a sale around Thanksgiving and I picked up several products to try; I've used them long enough now to give a reasoned opinion. I'd tried a few things from them before - their cleansing balm is now my go-to for when I double cleanse, the niacinamide toner I thought was fine but didn't do anything amazing for me, and the facial oil I found meh.

This time I tried:
Hydrate & cleanse bar - this is a cleanser in bar form that I planned to use on the body. It was fine but not very hydrating in my experience. I've put it aside to try in warmer weather when my skin is not so parched.

Hyaluronic acid serum - honestly I threw this in to get free shipping but it's a really solid product. Won't do anything amazing if you've used hyaluronic before but it's nicely hydrating and not sticky, easy to layer over.

Daily brightening serum - this has beta arbutin in it as well as hyaluronic acid; the former is supposed to help with skin brightening. I didn't notice an amazing difference but I did like that it's gentle enough to use every day and also isn't sticky so you can wear it under makeup, etc.

Overnight exfoliating treatment - in a way you can compare this to the The Ordinary AHA/BHA peel, but it's meant to be left on overnight rather than rinsed off after a few minutes. The formulation has salicylic, lactic and glycolic acids in it. I like this a lot and have been using it once or twice a week.

Silicone-free priming moisturizer - this comes in an airless pump bottle which is great for keeping it fresh. As far as working well under makeup it's not going to have the gripping power of a 'real' primer but it doesn't seem to cause pilling with any foundations I've tried so far. Really nice basic moisturizer at a reasonable price.

Squalane oil - squalane is one of those magic ingredients I've been wanting to try for a long time; it's supposed to have a molecular structure very similar to the skin's own sebum. It has an interesting texture - you can tell it's an oil but it's not greasy feeling, somehow. I like it as a last step at night to seal everything in.

I want to try their peptide serum and compare it to The Ordinary's buffet, but every time I check it's been sold out. Overall I continue to be impressed by this company's products.
