Stay cautiously hopeful, sweetpea. Attend to the job fair folk at once. Keep it VERY warm.

All you need is a foot back in the door. Then show em what you're made of. Sugar and spice and all things nice.

An email from the first company you interviewed with? That is terrific!!! Clearly there enthusiasm was more than it just being the beginning of the day, but it also probably worked to your advantage because you stood out and they weren't exhausted! Like Angie said, one good interview is often all you need.

Maya, can you PM me about what kind of work you do?

I'm, crossing everything that you will hear back soon with good news!

Excellent!!! I'm wishing your MORE good luck, Maya!

This is the email I got. Does it sound promising and genuine or is she just indulging me?

"It was indeed a pleasure meeting with you. Even though I only got to see the tail end of your book. Even the tail end, showed an impressive attention to detail and a passion for ones work.
If you can, please forward me a PDF of your book, and also please refresh my memory regarding your availability during the week and in the coming months.

You will be hearing from us in the futrue.
I do urge you to keep in touch.

Have a great weekend.
Again, it was a pleasure meeting you"

Um, humouring you? Does Angie like maxi dresses? WOW!!! That is one of the most encouraging post-interview notes I've ever seen! I'm not trying to build you up falsely, either, I'm totally serious. That's a very, very good sign, I think, and I know if I were in your shoes I'd be thrilled by such a note. Don't blame you one bit for being on pins and needles! I think it's also positive that they followed up so quickly. I absolutely believe you stood out to them. Keep us posted on what they say!!
And *hugs* you got through it!

Remember, interviewers usually don't ask for things unless they really are interested! They don't care about your feelings! Plus, she wrote you immediately. She is interested! So continued to be diligent in your communication with her.

Oh my goodness, Maya! That's very encouraging! KEEP IN TOUCH.

(*chuckle* Michelle).

That's a genuinely positive note Maya. Well done! Keep in touch with her, stay positive and use this momentum to apply for other jobs and building up your portfolio.

oh Maya that sounds very encouraging indeed - crossing everything here for you!!!

are you kidding?! as someone who's had her share of bad interviews, that is a SUPER positive note. i'm crossing my fingers that big things happen for you.

Ok, I hope you guys are right! It's the waiting that is the worst part Will keep everyone posted.

Waiting is always the worst part (but cupcakes help!)

Cupcakes always help.

I bought a brownie at Au Bon Pain to make me feel better. Great coping method...

This is wonderful news Maya! That letter is so awesome.

Wow - that would have to be the job application email of the century - I'd be printing it out and framing it!

Sounds so positive! Hope you hear back very soon!

Wish you all the luck!

Please keep us in touch!
