Thank you for all the suggestions! I will mention that one of the reasons that my dryer lasted for so long was because I didn't use it for many years...so it's not a amazing as it may sound . But I'm sure that it's better quality than most of the comparable stuff made today, since that's just the nature of the beast.
Firecracker, as luck would have it, I have a hair appt. this week, so I will ask my hairdresser. Great idea!
Susie, I have seen Babylis mentioned a few places now, so I will definitely think about that one.
Rachylou, I have heard that the Chi is the bee's knees! Unfortunately, it's too expensive for me. I'm glad you like yours.
Gryffin, I'm glad you are enjoying your Hana. I hadn't heard of that brand. It sounds like it does exactly what you need it to do!
Jjsloane, I hadn't thought of Bed Bath and Beyond. I'll be near a store of theirs today and will check it out. I have some coupons, yay. I'll look at Rusk also. It's not too far out of my price range.
mtgirl, I should post to Naturallycurly.com. I did a search over there and came up with a couple of hair dryers, but one was too expensive and the other wasn't made anymore. I will also look at Walmart at the Revlon (which crutcher also mentioned), since that sounds like a good one. I do plan on letting my hair air dry most of the time, so maybe the Revlon won't give out too soon on me. And I'll stay away from the Infinity Pro...that sounds like something that would be a disaster on my hair.
I will also check out the sites all of you mentioned for reviews of hair dryers. It's all so mind boggling to me. I would like to buy one in-store so that I can see it and also return it easily if I hate it.
