Golden Globes Fashion

My faves are:
1. Nicole Kidman, always slays the red carpet IMHO.
2. Lily Collins, I like brunettes and the dress is interesting and pretty.
3. Amanda Seyfried, but I would like to see the front too!

I don’t know who anyone is anymore! Lol! I liked the pastels, I noticed those. And Awkwafina (sp?). Something about her brown and tan dress struck me as strangely celebratory and appropriate... not something one often says about a brown dress!

Like Rachy, I didn’t know very many of the people. I thought wearing a big gown while sitting on your couch at home was really weird. I did like Jane Fonda wearing a white pant suit she said she found in her closet. If true, this supports her global warming protests.

I'll have whatever Gillian is having. Including that dress. Fun fact: husband and I were huge fans of The X-Files back in the day, and I was as smitten with her then as I still am now. We (ok, I) chose our daughter's name based on her name/s - although we changed the spelling of Gillian to Jillian. Jill's middle name is Dana after GA's character's name on XF. Yes, I actually did that. *shrugs* . My daughter was mildly horrified to learn her mother actually did something this Comic-Con-ish.

I too don't know who half the stars are anymore, and you know what? I actually don't care. I'm now that old.

I watched them Sal, and they did SUCH a good job on Zoom. Everyone looked fab, their way

Gillian Anderson is a brilliant actor - have loved her in the X Files, The Fall (although this is disturbing) , Sex Education, The Crown, Great Expectations - and I am sure I have forgotten a few too.

That is a great story Lisa. Lovely names too.

There were lots of actors featured that I don't know - and it is challenge to make it work. I loved the individuality - Rosamund Pike being one.

I always think what I would wear if money was no object and designers were keen to dress me.

Sal, I'm looking forward to the Zoom - Oscars in a few months! I prefer the Golden Globes though, because it includes tv shows and comedies - which the Oscars don't. I much prefer tv shows to movies!

Jane Fonda wins BEST OF EVERYTHING for the night though. Loved her tribute, and her speech.

Really, all the ones I see on the Vogue site are so stunning.

My favorite is Andra Day in the cream Chanel dress. Wow.

Also Viola Davis and Lily Collins.

I wasn't sure what to think of Jodie Foster's PJ look. It was so pandemic-appropriate, very much reflective of this moment, that it appealed to me. But then, I also appreciate the effort others put forth to glam it up big time despite the virtual award ceremony setting.

I like the variety. I liked the combat boots with the red dress on Rosamund Pike - very 2020 and reminds me of Killing Eve (not that she is on that show).

But I would have been disappointed if they all wore PJs because it is so fun to see that total glamour that we haven't had much of recently.
