I liked Letitia Wright’s dress as my #1, and Jean Smart looked classy. Some of it was just…odd… Several wet hems, too - though Billy Porter managed to keep his Christian Siriano dry!

Oh my, that's some serious fashion! Also a LOT of pictures of a LOT of folks I haven't heard of.

This is how you know you're getting on in years.

Looks like some of those beautiful people would have done well to roll their hems.

Like April with each passing year I know less and less if the people. I’m feeling like I’ve become my mother lol.

Anyway what I was attracted to this year where the traditional tuxedos, and the basic black and black & white gowns

But Billy Porter and that red dress! He always gets it right.

I agree - a lot of unfamiliar people!

We didn't watch but in flipping through the Vogue photos I found a lot of the women's fashions either crazy or boring with not a lot in between. I loved seeing the color in the men's tuxes though!

I watched the show! I always do

The nominated movies are very macabre this year. I can barely get through them. But very into the TV shows!

LOVED that Julia Garner won for being Ruth in OZARK. Jason Bateman was not nominated unfortunately. He's soooo good, I can't even put it into words!

Disappointed that OZARK did not win best show. One of the best shows ever made.

LOVED that Michelle Yeoh won! She is absolutely incredible!

Glad Colin Farrell won! The movie was horrendous but visually stunning, and he was exceptional in it.

Loved that Wednesday and the actress were nominated too! Extremely fun show!

I was not wild about the fashion this year, but some gorgeous looks nonetheless. I like all the looks you've shown in the comments section

My phone won’t put up w/ the ad heavy site & kept having to reload so I lost the name of my fave, but it was also the 1st pic, despite swathes of cumbersome yet airy fabric—ETA: just saw nemosmom’s post & that was my fave— until Jamie Lee Curtis knocked it out of the park in shining silver hair & black lace cape over black dress.
Loved the skinny suits on guys W/ slim pants, reminded me just a bit of a style I learned about only last week—Britain’s “Teddy Boys”—love! Also, it’s the gents’ turn to perpetually turn down rich & high caloric foods for a few decades.

I didn't watch it, and don't watch TV and rarely movies, but Love Jenna Ortega's dress. The sleeves remind me of these Isis wings on Etsy*note to self buy some for festival* Billy Porter's dress is pretty too.

Thank you for this link, I missed the red carpet. I'll have fun going through the pics. Jean Smart hits the right note of dressy but looks so comfortable.

I watch every year, I love the mix of tv and movies...and alcohol! Makes for a fun night. There were many great acceptance speeches...Michelle Yeoh, Jennifer Coolidge, Mike White, Colin Farrell. I also end up finding out about new films and shows I haven't watched yet.

Lots of unfamiliar faces to me as well. But then I don't have proper TV channels, only streaming subscriptions. So in fact, for the last few years, I use Emmys (and even the Oscars) to find new things to watch. I look through the nominees and winners and if I see anything that tickles my fancy add it to my to-watch list.
For example, after looking through the pictures, I watched 2 episodes of Hacks. Jean Smart is in it. I loved her dress, very chic! I think she is very good in that show as a Las Vegas stand-up comedienne in the autumn of her life on stage.
In general, I like that there is a lot of variety, especially in men's get-ups. There are tuxedos of all colors, how fun!

My phone only got me through just past 100 of 178 before I got tired of its slowness to load. But had seen some on our fave news website and had liked Margot Robbie’s pink dress the best.
I don’t like the ones with no dress above the boob line and heaps of dress below that, where it looks like the boobs are half hanging out. There was a purplish one that was a bad offender on someone. Lily James’s red dress too- she was hitching it up in a short video I saw. Not classy.

Hah Carla, they have to be weird at some point for the show, I guess. My nr 1 is Li Jun Li in her Dolce&Gabbana, than Rebecca Jarvis, Aleena Miller and maybe Zinzi Evans but still preffer tuxes with a traditional shirt for men (and not without...or...else...) still kind of liked the rubber boots on Justin Sylvester. But wet hems?????:-(

I completely missed the Globes. I like this dress that Serena Goransson wore (no idea who she is). But I see many wore gowns I approve of!
