Thanks to everyone who weighed in yesterday on my bag dilemma. I think I am going to go with the consensus and get a gold handbag. Here are some options, do any of these strike your fancy? I am looking for something dressy (but bonus if it can be used for day), with a shoulder strap (detachable or hideable is nice) or wrist strap, and of a certain size (I do not like tiny bags, particularly width-wise. I like them to be at least 10 inches wide in general).
1. Rebecca Minkoff Affair. Is this too structured/classic for me? It's a good size (8x11)
2. Sak Charlestown. A bit more casual, but the strap is removable to turn it into a clutch. It's approximately 9x7, possibly a bit small.
3. Whiting and Davis, leather and metal mesh. Is this too busy/blingy? It does have a detachable strap which is not shown in this photo. Good size - 12.5x7.5.
4. Michael Kors Berkley. Not really a strong contender because there are no straps and I find this kind of handle really uncomfortable to hold for long periods.
5. J Crew gold foldover clutch. I love this one and have seen it in person. It's 8x12. HOWEVER, it's completely sold out. There is one on ebay that I could bid on but it would not be returnable. I am still very tempted to bid though.
