Going to see "Rock of Ages" - ideas on what to wear? Edit: Possible outfits

I'm going with some girlfriends to see the musical "Rock of Ages" tomorrow night. It's all about our favorite 1980's music - do you have any inspiration for me about what to wear? We're going to the 3:00 p.m. performance, then out to dinner after. I was thinking of wearing my white J.Crew matchsticks, leopard print top, burgundy moto and burgundy booties, but I'm not sure if the white jeans are appropriate.

I also wanted to wear something with an '80's vibe to it.

Edit: Possible outfits

#1 and #2, I was thinking of a mash-up between these. The white jeans, leopard top, moto from #2 with the booties (sans buckles) and rocker hair from #1.

#3 and #4 - Another mash-up with the top and booties from #3 and the '80's vibe blazer and my black cigarette pants. I'd wear #3 as is but it is way too cold outside.

#5 would be as is.

I think the outfit you have planned sounds great. I did get a chuckle out of your typo, though. Imagining Rock of Ages set in the Depression and Silent Film era gives it a whole different slant.

I saw Rock of Ages Broadway Touring Company in Milwaukee last year. I'd say the guests were slightly dressed down from what I normally see in that theater. It was a very fun show! We went to eat at a Thai restaurant later and a couple of cast members were there eating dinner. We tried to not gawk and stare.

Oops! Thanks for catching the typo - I will fix it now! We are seeing the Broadway Touring Company in our city near Albany. I've been to see many shows there in the past (Phantom, Jersey Girls, Miss Saigon to name a few), but for some reason I'm a bit stumped on an outfit for this one. Maybe it's because we're going to the matinee. We're going out to dinner after to an extremely popular restaurant next door to the theatre - hopefully we will see some of the cast members!

I like #1/2 or #5. How fun!

Sounds like fun! I think the combination with the moto and the white jeans would definitely work. #5 would also be great -- the red/black plaid skinny pants just seem ultra-'80s in the best possible way.

I like 1 and 2 the best. But, I don't always get 80's style, so please take my opinion with a grain of salt.

#5 looks the most 80s to me and 1 is next. Both look great. Of course, I especially love 1 because the boots are so awesome!

OMG, Karie. I love it when your inner punk comes out. It seriously becomes you. My vote is #1, 3, or #6. #4 is too grown up (but an excellent outfit for other occasions); #2 is too polished.
