Help me decide on a fun crossbody bag: Metallic or Python?

I've been feeling the need for a metallic or snakeskin "going out" crossbody bag. Found this one on Ebay with the Coach logo in gold (I prefer gold or bronze over silver), but I'm not usually a fan of logos. I've also found the same bag in python snake print (very current) and bronze.

The shape and size are perfect, but I'm not sure which to choose. Gold print logo, snakeskin, or bronze? Which do you ladies think would be the most versatile?

Nancylee, do you feel comfortable that the bag is real? I know Coach has shinier fabric bags, but my recollection is that the entire fabric is shiny, not just the Coach "C." I'm apologize for being paranoid--I'm just always super suspicious about buying labels off of ebay even when they say new with tags, box, etc. I want to see a sales receipt.! I'm ridiculous, I know! It's just that $90 is a lot to pay for a bag if it isn't authentic. Otherwise, I think a metallic bag sounds fabulous and for me I'd pick it first over snakeskin if I was looking for versatility.

Authenticity aside - I'd personally steer clear of fabric expecially for "going out". I think the python sounds interesting, and I'm always a fan of bronze -- if it's not fabric.

Do you have pics of those bags, or are all choices in fabric and just edged with leather/python?

Good point on authenticity, kcs. Hmm.....

MNsara, steering clear of fabric bags for "going out" is good advice. The python and bronze bags are leather (not fabric), so they might be a better bet. The python is very "of the moment" so I'm tempted, but I'm thinking the bronze might have a longer life.

Let's hope Angie joins in, but I'm being told by the SAs (go figure!) that snakeskin is pretty classic and always around in some form.

I'm thinking that if you're not doing some 2012 variation of python (like orange python there should be many, many years of looking good. I'd maybe even wonder if crossbody might trend away first. . . ? (But then you shorten the strap?)

I have a poison eye for logos. If they want me to advertise for them, they can pay me. But I'm weird that way.

I think bronze would be more versatile than snakeskin.

Thanks for the SA information, MNsara. I have been wanting something python for fall, so maybe I should go for the python bag.

Then again, bronze is nice! Indecision continues....

As far as metallics go, I usually prefer a gunmetal or pewter to bronze, so my choice would be for the python. I think the colours in the python make it seem to coordinate with more outfits, too.
