I'm REALLY into jumpsuits and rompers lately.

Rompers are especially tempting as hotter weather approaches. Just as easy and breezy as a dress, sans the modesty struggle.

Sure I'd have to undress to use the bathroom, but it's a minor inconvenience.

There are way too many overly-cutesy rompers out there, though, and that is off-putting. I don't want to look like I'm wearing an enlarged version of a toddler's garment. It has to be just right. This one is amazing but doesn't suit my budget

I'm with Taylor--I think you could totally pull off a romper. I have a college friend with a VERY similar body to yours (about 5'2, large bust, slim limbs) and she wore a romper to reunion two years ago and looked great.

I think I would prefer you in a romper to a jumpsuit because part of the appeal of the romper is showing off your nice legs. A jumpsuit always seems like way too much fabric to me.

FWIW, I was sorely tempted to buy a linen version of a black romper much like this last summer. And I am 15+ years older than you But I didn't. Still wondering if maybe I should have. I would only wonder what it might do to your larger bust . . . something I never have to think of.

I like it, it doesn't look "toddler" at all. I hope you find a budget friendly version. I do think showing legs is the way to go for this look.

The one you linked to is great! I can see it on you with some great wedge sandals (have you any?).

My 22-y.o. loves to wear rompers, but hers usually have small ditsy prints and a vintage vibe. I prefer the the clean modern lines of the ASOS ones.

Either way, when young and legs are still looking good - give it a try!

Oh Maya I can't make fun of a look I find adorable, here in the UK the ditsy floral spaghetti strap variety has been popular as a beach cover up and festival wear and I have never felt the need to laugh. The type you have linked to looks perfect for city living!

I had one of these that I wore when I was in my early twenties (the early 90's).

I LOVED wearing it out and about. In fact, if I was young and had the figure *and* the opportunity, I would wear this style again.

Yes, the jumpsuit was impractical. However, when on, I found it to be a very flattering, sophisticated and edgy outfit. And I can tell you I always, always, *always* received compliments when I wore it out and about, from both men and women. (It was silk in a muted peacock blue. Modest up top, with a halter neck and featuring a relatively low cut back. The legs were quite wide. I would wear it with metallic heels and dangly earrings and with my hair up.)

Maya, I won't make fun of you because I bet you can totally rock those looks! You're young and slim, two things that make it a lot easier.

I wouldn't rule out a jumpsuit if it were something like what Katiepea describes and fit and flattered me, but that would be a long stretch. I like the look on others but fear it would be a very hard task to find the right one for my 45yo pear-ish body.

Rompers? Well, considering the last time I wore shorts that ended more than a inch above the knee was around 5 or 6 years ago, I'd have to say, not likely for me. They look best on people with fabulous legs.

Oh good, enablers! Well, I can't get the one I linked to because of price point, and it's sold out in my size anyway.

I'm just afraid that the vintage/ditsy/ruffley ones will look juvenile on me because I already am so young-looking for my age. Someone recently told me I'm just one step away from being too cute to be taken seriously :\ I do not know if I should interpret that as a compliment or an insult...but it does mean I need to be careful...

I have one made by Funktional in black silk - it is a bit more fitted and sleeveless, but I love it... I am not ashamed! I say give it a try (and that model is gorgeous!).

I have two rompers (one black and one brown) from Express that i got two summers ago. They were a knit material and similar to the one you posted. I loved them for summer dressing.

I had a romper (black gauze fabric) last summer, spaghetti straps and a cinched waist, I loved that thing (kept me comfy and breezy without a peep show) during walks on the beach and boardwalk with my baby.... Love the one you linked to, have you checked express? they have a similar one (military style) but a strapless, not sure how you feel about that? I'm going to be looking for one this summer as well!

I'm totally late to the party here, but I'm jumping on the enabler train too! I think a romper would be really cute on you! Last summer, my very trendy European friend wore a ditsy floral short romper with flat oxfords and little ankle socks while traveling here in Boston, where it was as usual miserable, hot, and humid. She not only looked cute but stayed cool and comfy even with all the traipsing around the city we did!
