Cee - thank you! I never expected to enjoy wearing glasses given I hated getting frames in my teens.
Alicewonderland - Yes, the lighter frames really make wearing lighter colours much easier. In a column of black, my black frames are lovely and dramatic - they look great - but with a white dress or something soft and pretty, they look a bit jarring with the rest of the outfit. I love your online name - Alice in Wonderland was always one of my favourite books as a child!
Kari - thanks so much for your feedback. I consider you (along with Angie and Firecracker) the absolute authorities on glasses frames - hence my slight buyers remorse at not consulting the forum before taking the leap in buying these. So glad that you do like them as I am always admiring your fab frames and how well they co-ordinate with your clothing, acting as a beautiful accessory rather than merely being glasses so you can see.
Karen13 - I notice that I can go up to a 52mm size in lenses without the frame becoming too big. I am not sure about how people can buy frames online without trying...as the nose fit is something that I need to see as many frames with smaller lenses then would not fit on my face particularly well. Tiffany & Co do have lovely designs. My black frames are 2.5 years old and I still enjoy wearing them as they are quite classic.
Taylor - yes Tiffany & Co make lovely frames, both of these are by them - the white frame also has beautiful silver crystal bling on the side. If you need to wear glasses, best to get something that you love. I have been wearing contact lenses since I was 18 and most friends and colleagues don't know that I even wear glasses, so I am lucky that contacts work for me. Strangely, they don't work at all well for my siblings.
NancyW - that is great that you like the lighter frame too, I have been on a project to wear lighter colours, so these are definitely a fun addition to my project "Lighten Up"!
Firecracker - like Kari, I consider you one of the best wearers of glasses. You have numerous frames and they all look amazing on you. So thanks so much for posting and these new frames do feel right for summer.
Rachy - thank you, I have never really felt gorgeous in specs, but I must say the most recent frames are definitely more like a desirable accessory than just a visual aid. When I think of the horror frames I endured as a teen...
Katerina - yes to having more than one frame! Angie, Kari and Firecracker really helped me realise the benefit of using specs as a fashion accessory rather than something to be endured. I do feel rather "glamorous librarian" in these specs!
Jane - thanks so much - I had been looking for so long I was almost thinking that lighter frames just did not suit me...
