Dear Fabbers, please may I ask for your help? New glasses are needed! These are the two pairs that I think look good to my eye - tortoiseshell type colours, the Longchamp pair are my favourites, with the solid coloured arm. I didn't spend too much time looking, and I am wondering if I should have spent more time. Thank you so much for your help.

I’ve spent time away from the forum recently, and I feel uncomfortable about not contributing. Work has been hard going and I’ve needed to focus my thoughts.

But back to the specs! suggestions would be very welcome.

I have to pick a new pair soon so I feel your pain.New glasses are right up there with swimsuit shopping in my book.l like the shapes you have picked but I feel maybe a lighter colour of frame would be worth trying for comparison?Dont rush the decision ,glasses are expensive so take your time choosing .Have you tried gold or green frames,these would suit your colouring.

I really like whichever ones are in 3 and 5 - I agree you could go lighter; although I am guessing the tortoiseshell reads a little softer in person than in the pictures. In any case the shape is great!

The shape of the glasses looks very nice on you, the tortoiseshell is great color. In the sunlight the glasses would look probably brighter, lighter in color.

FWIW, you always contribute when you post here. There’s no pressure, and you shouldn’t think twice about popping in after a vacation from the site.

You have a pair that you like (Longchamp) and could go back and order, which must be a relief. If you have some time in the busiest month of the year(!), could you look again, this time at frames that are lighter/brighter?

Thank you Notsaf - I think they may be different. The two I picked were Mulberry and Longchamp. The Longchamp I especially liked.

NancyW, that is helpful - yes I’ve found a pair and actually it might just be a case of finding a lighter colour pair now - it is a two for one offer.

Yes, the shape is nice, but yes to going a bit lighter. Hope work starts going smoother!

The Longchamp are definitely a better fit and look great on you. The Mulberry are sitting in a lopsided way on your face - it may be that the arms need adjusting.

Lovely to see you back - and we all understand that things get busy from time to time.
