But Crocs actually now make a line of fashion shoes that don't look a thing like Crocs. Still, I'm not interested.

I deleted it without even opening it. But that reminds me, when I was traveling over the weekend, I saw a whole store dedicated to selling Crocs in the Las Vegas airport. It was mind boggling! The woman sitting next to us was wearing them. Will that be the new travel wear?

Yes, I saw the same email yesterday! I did look at the email to see what the pictures looked like. I think the small ones are cute for babies and little kids, but I would never buy them.

Oh good lord. Fur lined?! Crocs make your feet smell bad enough without adding an extra layer of insulation!

Yuck! Please shoot me if I ever start to wear crocs. I refuse to buy them for my children either. They remind me of shoes that Fred Flinstone would wear....

At first, I read the subject line as, "Give the Gift of THE Crocs." I couldn't figure out what on earth that would be.

I wouldn't even take Crocs to a white elephant party, let alone give them to someone I expected to speak to me the next day. "Wow, you care about me so much you got me foam shoes......gee.....thanks." I know, I know--it's the thought that counts.

EDIT: Maya, actually--those are pretty cute. I'd wear them. I was thinking of those neon rubber things I see all over campus. Actually, we have personalized burnt orange Crocs with a white Longhorn logo on it, especially for UT. Those are the ones I see most often.

Yes, the promo was for the neon rubber things. When I read the subject line I finished it off in my head with "...to someone you hate."

Maya, you scared me to death for a sec! I thought you were promoting them because of some killer sale or something...LOL! I was like, huh??

And for the record, those things are the most UGLIEST shoes ever! Nothing will change my mind. I throw up a lil in my mouth when I see someone wearing them...jk but I do in my mind!

I think Angie faints every time she reads the title on this thread!

I confess I bought the fur lined ones for my little boys (5 and 2 1/2) to wear around the house during the cold winter months. I think they're cute on this set, but my older son is probably pushing the limits on the crocs are cute expiration date.

Am I still allowed to post on the forum

While the YOU might say they are a Croc, they are not really Croc. If they were, they would not be made of leather. They would be plastic with holes all over it. And people would either wear white athletic socks with them or be barefoot.

Dani, Croc are great for kids.

My older kid wears crocs too, Dani, so you're not alone. I would never wear them myself, but I must say they are by far the best shoes for the sandbox. I am not sure about what age is the limit, I'd guess 6

I must confess I own 3 pairs of crocs:

1) One pair of the really ugly holey kind - they are great for travelling, so light and waterproof and can be worn on boats, volcanoes and roads with freshly painted tar as I have found out by experimentation!
2) A non-holey pair for hospital wear - comfy in theatre and can be disinfected when bodily fluids are spilt over them.
3) Primas that aren't supposed to look like crocs. These were intended to replace pair #1 but cut up my feet so I rarely ever wear them - defeats the whole purpose of crocs actually!!

Am I still allowed to post on the forum after making this confession?

Disclaimer, I have a pair of the maryjane crocs. I hate the clogs, though.

I tried on a pair of the YOU by crocs. They were high heeled pumps in green patent. They were pretty fun and seemed relatively comfortable for the heel height, which was pretty high. I wanted to buy them.

I was at a resort in India and was shocked to find Crocs as the hot selling item there. And my kids wear Crocs too - they're great for little feet and busy activities. I can't imagine ever wearing them myself!

Maya, I saw your thread title the other day, and didn't have time to click on it--but I knew exactly where you were going with it. I saw the Piperlime email too and immediately thought of the YLF reaction.

Yublocka, There are comfortable travel shoes that are not ugly. Ummm but more importanly, why would bodily fluids get on your feet in a theatre?

Thanks for clarifying that Sihaya! Yes I did mean that kind of theatre! I shudder to think what types of fluid would be involved otherwise!!! Crocs are great hospital shoes!!

Sure, yublocka. Crocs are ideal operating theater shoes and at a push, they look quite sweet on children. But this is where I draw the line. They are absolutely hideous for any other scenario – even gardening. Please refrain from wearing them.
