Welcome, July! You'll find this forum to be incredibly helpful and friendly, so feel free to start posting and asking questions.
Some of the things I've done as I started my style journey were to read through a bunch of Angie's past blog posts - so much great information! I identified my body type and my color palette - these are incredibly helpful when it comes time to start getting some new things.
Next, I really looked at my lifestyle. I analyzed the main categories of things that I did on a weekly/monthly basis. For me, it was 80% MOTG (Mom on the go),10% Smart Casual, 10% Business, and them workout gear. Then, I really looked at my closet to see what clothes I had that would work in each of these categories. I realized that I had the least amount of clothes for MOTG, but I spent the most amount of time in this role - major wardrobe hole there!
I also read a few books on style. One that I've really liked is The Pocket Stylist by Kendall Farr.
YLF and this forum will be here for you on your style journey!
