I *almost* ordered them when Moxsie went bankrupt and all of their shoes were like 80% off, but then talked sense into myself since they are fur lined--

In any case, I own four...perhaps five....who's counting really?...pairs of Kelsi Dagger shoes and love all of them.

HAHAHA! I'm thinking fur-lined boots are just what I need. For the price of the Timberlands I could get these and a pair of classic boots from Scarpasa.

Order them all and see what works. I think that is the only solution. This is not a crazy enabler message, it is an honest one.

I just don't think the KD's will be weatherproof; however, if it is a quick in and out and admire me all day from indoors and my feet are toasty but all you know is I look BA--then go for it. ;D

Do you think they can BE waterproofed? It's more snow than rain that I deal with, and I'm not going to be snowshoeing in them... I hope.

Perhaps someone with better weatherproofing knowledge will chime in--we see very little inclement weather--and I only have experience in waterproofing suede. I seriously love those boots, Una. How would you wear them?

I would probably wear them the way I wore the boots they are replacing, which were these all-purpose black mid-calf Rockports that have finally seen their last days. They were kind of my failsafe for when nothing else worked, and because I didn't ADORE them, they actually got more use because I wasn't worried about ruining them. By now, they've probably paid me in PPW!

I had these but ended up reselling them. The ankle is very chunky, and you have to cut off the aglets on the shoe laces if you want to lace the boot normally for a tighter fit.

On the plus side, the faux fur goes all the way down the shaft, though not in the toe box or footbed. The foot bed is lined in a fuzzy/fleecy material, though. The leather is also very soft.
