Thank you, in a huge and wonderful way, for probably getting bleary-eyed looking at all this! Angie, you always make me feel so powerful and good as I find my way with new or seldom-used pieces. I'm so happy to see that a number of you also liked the camel and red combination (whether it was the shawl cardigan or the turtleneck). I liked it, too. There's something about that trench coat that pulled the striped tee together. Guess I'll have to be Ms. Columbo or a female sleuth and hope for cool weather! :O
Shannon, thanks for the post of the red and pink. I love that photo and my only brightly-hued pink shirt is the casual Gap neon pink shirt, which I'm wondering may be too casual for these seemingly dressier (in my mind) pants. I'll give it a try.
AJ, I love your idea of taking the Vince Camuto geo-print top in #17 and adding my black moto and red pointy shoes with this. Excellent idea!
I didn't post a pic, but as Inge suggested, my oversized Gap cream sweater, with my cream/red/gold scarf, would be another great way to wear these pants.
Leave it to Angie to have directed me to them last year. They are Express pants in a regular length. I haven't bought much in the way of Express and this was probably my only Express purchase in recent years, but after reading Angie's review on these pants, and the way they fit, I had to have them. The length was right and they are extremely comfortable.
Everyone's comments are so meaningful, HELPFUL, and confidence-building. I agree that the happiness-factor is a personal thing and I'm learning to trust that more. After taming the red trousers, I am now ready to wear and go! Thanks again, my friends. ^_^
