Thrifted a pair of purple flats a few weeks ago. Wore them for the first time this week and they were too tight on the toes - they went straight off my feet and into the 'to-donate' bag. I think I've pulled out several other items recently. Somehow it feels much easier than it used to be.

I was thinking about Lyn's recent thread on this topic and I've always been willing to toss because of quality or lack of fit, but not in a "it just doesn't suit me / suit me anymore" way. I think I'm getting better, maybe because I'm narrowing in on my style a bit. Also, some of my supposed 'practicality' is fading - I keep a lot of things just in case, but everything I keep has to be stored or cared for somehow, so it's not a zero-sum game. I'm finally getting that through my hard head. (Just don't ask me about my book collection - yet.)
