I currently have two pairs that I wear often, but I find them very comfortable, unlike d'orsay flats (which you prefer), which rarely fit me well, and fall off my feet. Ballet flats hold my feet really well. I had three pairs, but one of them was my commutting shoes pair, and I wore them to pieces. Sometimes I wear one of the remaining two pairs as commuting shoes, but it is not their only use. I wear them to travel, to barre class, with casual outfits. I don't wear slip-on sneakers since they tend to fall off my feet, as is the case with some slip-on shoes and loafers (although lately I have had luck with the Franco Sarto loafers Angie recommended, as well as with the Naturalizer Veronica loafers), and I do not have many months of bootie weather. So, for me, my casual closed toe comfortable shoes are oxfords, loafers, and ballet flats. I like that besides being comfortable, they are very lightweight, can be easily removed, and pack really well. However, I am not thinking about adding another pair unless one of mine wears out. I think it depends on how many pairs you have vs how many you actually wear, and how often. In which occasions do you wear them, and what would you wear instead? Those are things you need to think before deciding to get rid of them.
