Get a load of my Fauxburys!

SO, I am in love with the Rag and Bone Newburys. Other than an overpriced, wornout pair on ebay, I felt that they are inaccessible (could order from shopbop, but with tax and duty, would be abut $700, about 1/3 going to tax and duty!). I don't mind spending more on a well made item, just can't stomach the huge government fees!
SO, I found these on the Dillard's site and they arrived today! I think they are great!
So, does that make me a sell out? A copycat? Or just thrifty?
In the pic below, the VC's are on the left.
By the way, Dillard's ships with Borderfree and it was effortless. Took less than a week to arrive and all duties charged up front.

Sorry, recalculated (said that with a GPS voice in my head), and it is actually $ CAD 662, with $167 being NAFTA charges. That is with a base price of $CAD 495 on shopbop. They never go on sale, although SB did have a 25% off coupon recently.... Still quite a discount for the VC's.

Are you kidding? They are almost identical but with a lower heel. I would have done exactly the same thing. I like the exposed zipper a bit better because it is smoother than the covered zip too.

I think they are fantastically thrifty and a great way to get more from your fashion budget. Nothing wrong with paying big bucks for high end designer items but the same can be said for finding a great budget friendly version.

The truth is, who knows who the first was to come up with this ? The problem for me is when it is counterfeit. When someone tries to pass it off a genuine brand, with brand markings or logos.

Something like this doesn't come close. You see it all the time. How many beautiful black pointy pumps are out there ? LeBoutin doesn't hold the trademark on it. "The Look For Less" concept is everywhere and common. Thankfully !

These look great! I can relate as recently I have developed an obsession for the rag and bone harrow booties & have spent too much time trying to find the look for less!

I think they are a great find! I actually prefer the exposed zipper. Dillard's is one of my go to stores for shoes. Since they are headquartered here, the shoe dept is one of their larger ones.
