GAP: Real Straight vs. Perfect Bootcut

For those of you who have tried on/own these jeans: If you had to choose one or the other, which cut would get your pick? I have read their descriptions and seen the pictures, but I can't seem to decide which is the most versatile. My current jeans are in a sad, sad state....but I need to spend slowly right now. I'm planning to go into the store and try them on, and I'm leaning more towards the bootcuts I think...but just wanted to get a vote from those who have them already..

FWIW, the RS didn't fit right. I felt like there was more room in the thigh and the rise in the PB was better for my body. I love the PBs!

I found the same thing. The RS were too tight in the thigh for me, and the PB was just that, perfect! I haven't had an opportunity to wear them for any length of time yet, but I plan to wear them this weekend if it cools down a few more degrees. I love them at first try on though.

I also like the PB better. I like that the waist is a bit higher than the other styles, comfy and looks good too. I wear these the most out of all the other styles I own.

I think you just have to try them on and see which fit your body best! I am a Long and Lean girl myself.

I looved the fit of the PB's but NOT the washes they came in. The RS fit me really well though so i bought those because the washes were better.

I haven't tried the RSs, but I have two pairs of the PB and I really like them. The mid-rise is great and the fit is slim through the hips and thighs, but not skin tight.

I haven't tried the PB yet, but will this weekend. I'm returning the Sexy Bootcut that I bought in the same size (27, 4R) as my RS's. The RS fit me well, (5'6, 130 lbs) in the seat and thigh, but the SB are way too roomy! If the PB's are the same I'll just return them and keep looking for a good bootcut to wear with my heels.

You *have* to try them on, because they vary even between styles so much.

As to what kind, it depends entirely on how you want to wear them. With heels? With flats or Cons? I like the RS for flats and Converse and the bootcuts for heels. Obviously you cant' wear bootcuts with both heels and flats, but you can with the RS's so that might be a consideration.

I totally intend to try them on, but denim shopping is worse for me than swimsuit shopping, so I wanted to narrow down my possibilities before I walked into the store.
You've all given me plenty to keep in mind though, looks like I'll be grabbing one of each at least to try.

Good point Mellllls, I'm super picky about the washes on my jeans.

Kim, I must admit to being guilty of wearing my bootcuts with all sorts of shoes: flats, wedges, boots and booties. Is there a reason why that can't be done?

The RS did not fit me right and I did not try on BC. I got the Always Skinny and really like the fit. And I agree with what Kim said flats don't look that good with boot cut where they do with me skinny. BC look good with heels, clogs and boots. Angie has some of them in the store with reviews.

The only reason you couldn`t wear the same bootcuts with heels or flats would be the hem length. Mine would drag along the ground behind me in flats if I had it hemmed for heels. </p> <p>Other than that I can<code>t think of one reason why you can</code>t wear them with any kind of shoe. I was just saying you can`t wear the same pair with either heel height. I love boot cuts with all styles of shoes too!

The RS jeans could possibly be worn with heels or allowed to scrunch up a bit to be worn with flat shoes. So you<code>d have more versatility if you can only get one pair of jeans right now. The skinnies would be the same. Just sayin</code>....LOL

I have two pairs of the perfect bootcut. I plan to primarily wear them with cowboy boots but I will also wear them with flats (I own two flats with a small heel) when they keep the pants at PPL. I have no problem with non boots/heels with a bootcut jean. In fact, that's my favorite cut to wear when I have on sneakers, which are often quite bulky, the bootcut help eliminate some bulk by covering some of the sneaker.
