GAP long and leans fit question

I know a lot of people have these jeans. The pair I ordered just fits, whereas I thought I wanted these to fit a bit roomy. I know a lot of people have written that they grow a bit. Is it just a bit of easing, or loosening up a full size? I am bummed because I don't have time to order a bigger size pair before I head back to Germany.

Ah, I don't know, I have not bought GAP denim in a while. If the material is the same as let's say, a year ago, yes, they do stretch a lot.

The last two pairs I bought stretched out so much, I could not wear them. That was a few years ago though and I have been on a gap moratorium since.

Could you wear them around the house for an evening with the tags on and see what happens?

Mine stretched out a whole size. I'd wear them around the house, like dianthus suggested, if you can. If you can wear them for an hour, you'll have a good idea how much they will stretch. I always do a few deep knee bends and tug out the waist a bit too. That does a good job of giving me an idea how much they will stretch.

Mine don't stretch a bit. This is SO individual!! It's because their fabrics change.

I didn't buy them super tight. I didn't have a choice. The smallest size was not tight. So I just went with that and stuck with it. I don't wear them very often, however.

Mine stretch out a little, but not a whole size. Like Suz says, it depends on the denim they've used. Mine are from a couple of years ago. They ran big at that time - I had to buy a size smaller than I wear in other Gap jeans.

Thanks for the help. I tried wearing these ones around for a couple hours at home and although they gave a little bit, it's not enough to give me the relaxed look I wanted. I considered expediting the shipping for another pair, but they are no longer on sale and it's just too much. I wonder if I can find these in stores? The website says they are available only online. It's these ones

I notice on the european website they are not available at all. Possibly Gap is moving away from this style?

Scarlet, I think it's just this particular wash that is only available online. There are several other washes on the website that are also available in stores here in the states.

Thanks, CK. I was still a little unsure because those washes are on sale and only available in limited sizes. However, after going back to the Gap site I see they have a new, slightly less good promotion going on, so I ordered another size after all.
