Gap ikat tank - K/P?

I was wearing this around the house this afternoon. I love that it's woven cotton, but I hate the fit above the bust. (I ordered it online after spying it on J Everyday 2 years ago). It's just too gathered and then blouses out disproportionately. Should I hang on to it through this summer at least as a cool alternative in the heat or just ditch it now since the fit is bothersome?
Here are the times I've worn it in the last year. Seeing the pics reminded me I liked the first outfit and that now makes me wonder if keeping it as a layering piece might be a good idea. I don't have a lot of prints in my wardrobe.

Well, hate to say it, but I really like how it looks in both #1 and #3. I think the blousing in #2 isn't the most flattering on you. So I say at least keep it for the summer....

Well, I have 2 tops like that - that I only wear as layering pieces. I have plans to replace them eventually, but in the meantime I've held onto them for the same reason that you're thinking about - I have very few prints in my wardrobe and those 2 tops add some variety!

I love the print and don't really notice the fit issues. I especially like the easy vibe in #3. I'd say keep it for layering and for something cool to throw on unless the fit will really bug you every time you put it on.

Things that drive me nuts often have the audacity to look really good in photos. Cute top, and it looks fine to me. That said, I'd get rid of it if you don't have an actual need for it, and wouldn't miss it. Life is too short to wear tops that are badly cut.

I decided to try and stretch the elastic around the top for now. Space isn't an issue as far as purging, but if I don't like it enough to wear it out and about, it's not comfy enough for at home wear. Operation stretch under way

I kind of like the top. :^) I like it best in 3, next best in 1. I agree that the full tuck in 2 is a little too much blousing.

But I will say that if you really don't like it, it's best to get rid of it. Even if you don't need the space, it's pointless for you to see that in your closet every day if you're not going to wear it.

It does have a lot of qualities that serve well in the Florida heat. I'd keep it through the end of the season, I think, and evaluate again in the fall.

If it's the elastic at the top that's bothering you, you could always undo that seam and replace it with a sightly longer piece of elastic. EIther that or keep it around one more season for layering, and if you don't wear it, out it goes.

When I have an item like that, that has a bothersome detail, I've learned to just let it go, and keep an eye out for something new in that color/pattern or general style, but without the annoying elastic/ruffle/itchy seam, etc. That is, if it doesn't create a gaping hole in the wardrobe.

Says you already own it and you say you don't have many prints I think keeping it for layering is a good idea..

If you can make it comfortable with minimal effort, I say give it a try - the color and pattern is nice on you.

Well, I only gave it an overnight stretch, but it bugs me, no doubt. Tried it again today. Off it goes. Plenty of other tanks in my closet

Well, you can't say you didn't try! That always makes me feel better about consigning something to the chopping block, if I've made a reasonable attempt to fix it but it didn't work.
