Hi guys,

I'd been looking all over town for a non-itchy cream cable-knit sweater, but no luck. When I came home I found Angie's blog post featuring her Gap pullover, and ordered one for myself too. Problem solved:-)
Since some of us weren't sure which size to get, I thought I'd post some pics of mine. Maybe it can help if you're unsure which size to order. This is a size large, my usual size in sweaters. I absolutely love the oversized, slouchy silhouette of this pullover and since I'm really into more slouchy looks in general as well, I paired it with dressy trousers which I tucked into moto boots. I like it:-) But of course, all thoughts and suggestions welcome.

FYI: The first picture is how I will actually wear the pullover, with the sleeves scrunched. The rest is just to show you guys what a size L looks like. (ignore the wrinkles, I unpacked it and took photos).

I also note that the funnel neck is not as wide on you as it was on me in the store (in the same size L). Maybe they do differ from one sweater to another?
Did you get Tall or Regular? I have ordered Tall L yesterday and cannot wait for it to arrive!

Ah yes, should have mentioned that, this is a Regular L, Sveta, but you are taller than me. I'm holding thumbs that yours will be perfect for you! (the width of the collar could indeed be a little different for each sweater? FYI it does stand a little further away from my neck than appears from these photos, but I like that)

Inge you look lovely! Thank you for posting these fit pics. I did crack up a bit at the one where you are pulling the back away from yourself. In the thumbnail I was like "what in the world!"

Atlantia, the pullover *is* styled in an outfit :). And to my eye it's a KILLER look on Inge!

This is how the jumper is supposed to fit. WIDE :). Fashion forward. My band stands away from my hips like that too.

Inge, Gap needs to give you a modelling contract! This is how it's done! Wow, fantastic fit, color and I love the hi-lo hem. I love the dramatic impact of the oversized look and you carry it off with aplomb. The color could not be more beautiful on you either. Love it with the trousers and boots: perfection!

Inge, which site do you order your Gap things from, US or UK? I'm guessing import duties are different depending on whether the things arrive from or outside the EU.

ETA: or is it simply gap.eu... I've just tried .co.uk site but got transferred to .eu

I love the color and the fit of the sweater and the relaxed trousers fitted into moto boots - so lovely! This is such a great winter look. You look wonderful!

As part of the education, I am also wondering if you can share tips for fitting looser trousers into boots...mine always bunch up in an unattractive way, but yours (and Rae's, from her post a couple of days ago) look so good. What's the secret?

ETA: I was at the Ann Taylor Outlet this morning and I saw a sweater not unlike this one in teal. It looked lovely, but had to pass it up because I don't really need one more sweater...now, looking at you, I am almost wishing I had not

I love the fit and the colour, and also love the pants tucked into the boots.

It's interesting what Sveta says about the collar. I am feeling pretty certain (based on all the reports) that the sizing of that collar must vary a bit between sweaters, which would not be at all unusual for Gap. It could mean trying on multiple sweaters to get the right fit.

I love the styling, the simplicity of the outfit keeps it crisp and clean enough to meet your style goals.

I do have a question, given the amount of volume and the thickness of the knit does it bunch under your outerwear? More importantly does it remain comfortable?

Thank you for modeling. Mine arrived yesterday too and I might be wearing it today. I am still tempted by the navy blue one as well, but I might be tempted to get that in a size down for a slightly different fit. Mine fits just as yours and you've demonstrated a style I will try with it. Beautiful.

Ornella - for Gap and Banana Republic I use the European websites (it's a little strange actually, if I go to their US sites I can add items to my shopping basket, it's only during check-out that I'm told these items are not available for shipping to Europe...). Old Navy and Piperlime, part of the same group, do offer shipping to Europe through partner FiftyOne, but this is more expensive.
These are the urls (the selection is more limited than on the US sites - and, sadly for us, often there are no Tall sizes). But you don't pay import duties, and shipping costs are very reasonable:

RunnerChick - I just wrap the "extra fabric" tightly around my legs and tuck the pants into my socks, this way the trousers stay put while putting on the boots. Does that make sense. Love the sound of the AT teal sweater, perhaps you could go have another look;-)

Suz - It's perfectly possible that the collar size varies even with the same size, so definitely worth trying on a few sweaters to see which feels best to you.

Jules - I haven't worn the jumper out yet, but tried it on with my Winter coats and as long as I scrunch the sleeves before putting on the coats there isn't much bunching at all. I do "feel" the extra fabric is there, I don't think this is going to bother me, but perhaps someone else would find that uncomfortable?

Jeanne - I am also VERY tempted to get the blue one too. Good idea too order a different size if you're after a different fit.

I took a squizz at it myself and ordered it a full week ago and it hasn't shipped yet. Seeing you model yours makes me even more impatient!! You look great, Inge. Maybe you should get the ink blue as well

I really like it too. Nothing says "cozy" to me like a slightly over sized sweater. PERFECT !
