I have a question about an item in my closet (actually, there are a couple of things that I currently have and don't know what to do with--but, we'll start with this one). It is a Gap knee-length dark brown corduroy stretch skirt. I don't know if I want to keep it--I think the tag says it's from 2006 (Don't you just love those tags? Always makes trying to decide whether or not to keep something simpler, as in "Oh, that's way too 2003--like 12 years ago!--and I don't have anything else in my closet from that era, so out it goes! Thanks Gap for labeling your clothing by season!). Anyway, whenever I try to put something with it, I end up feeling like I walked out of 2001 or something.
What do you think? Maybe with a chambray button down? What about footwear? Camel flats (I have a bazillion kids so heels are pretty much out all the time, speaking in reality, not fantasy fashion terms)? I know brown corduroy is not exactly a "springy" fabric, but anyway. Thanks!
