I like the utility jackets, the denim top, the white shirt. Just a cleaner, much sleeker way of styling their basic casual line.

Interesting. I shop at the Gap (and ON/BR) often so I am happy to see that they are trying to reinvent and re-enliven the brand, which had been struggling (Gap only, I mean). I can't say I like all of these looks or pieces--I'm also not a fan of the dropped crotch, and I don't particularly like all the avant-garde play of volumes--but I do like some of the pieces (moto jacket, denim jacket) and especially the idea of a refresh. I look forward to seeing more of what they'll bring!

All the volume, and the intentionally oversized look, *particularly with 'normcore' pieces like they're doing it*, is going to be really tricky for most people to pull off. Maybe interesting in theory, not so great in practice.

I really like those denim skirts, and the denim dress too. I have some returns to make this weekend at the mall where my favorite Gap is located, this could spell trouble for my wallet...

I'm just not loving the looks. The peplum top is cute and the standard utility jackets are pretty, well standard. The oversized and dropped crotch look done in this extreme just looks like it would end up a mass of wrinkles by the middle of the day. Where does all that extra fabric go when one sits down? Or when you put on your seat belt? It almost feels like they are trying too hard to be different. Better quality would win my vote. I haven't purchased anything from them recently due to quality issues.

I stopped by The Gap last week and tried on the utility jacket. I really loved it, but cannot decide between the wine and the green. They had a ton of sweaters and long sleeve tees on clearance which I got better deals on last year.

Waiting for more spring clothing to come out and have mixed feelings about some of the newer stuff they have.

Also, why do they always have to have pockets on their buttoned shirts. I hate shirt pockets! This is the main reason I don't buy their shirts.

Well, they are doing some interesting things. But I'm certain some of these things will not translate well on MY body. I'm interested to see what else they have up their sleeve for spring. I buy mostly denim at Gap.

I just received an email from GAP about their jogger pants. Does anyone know anything about them? I'm considering them for my teenaged DD, who is an extra small petite (5' tall, 106 lbs.) with a rectangle body shape. Thanks.

I'm cynical now and refuse to get excited by their ads and website photos. Nothing ever looks as good in person as it does in the photos - their quality (especially in their fabrics) has dropped so considerably of late. I don't see them surviving in the long term.

I'm really loyal to the Gap even though I've been unexcited about the past few years. This season has far more stuff that I'd consider buying. I think they took a detour into Forever 21-type fast fashion a few years back but they've gone back to their usual strengths (higher quality cotton fabric, less disposable-feeling clothing).

I had paper bag pants almost exactly like that in high school. I can't decide if these look good on me or overwhelm me. I tried them on last week but the size I tried was too big and I didn't have time to try another size.

I used to love Gap and then the past couple years... meh. I Not a fan of the architectural and avant-garde looks. The only thing I like is the denim peplum blouse. However, I wish the neckline was more of a scoop. Everything else just isn't me. But it is nice to see a fresh look!

Normcore brand, heh. Their more out there pieces are not my style, but I like the look of them. Just bought some basic super soft tees from them and I love them. Soft and substantial, I wear them under sweaters and jackets all winter.

I think it is an interesting departure since as noted, lots of people get all their staples from Gap/ON/BR and don't look to it for the avant-garde look (i.e. dropped crotch). Agree with others that some of it is appealing but not sure it makes sense in where they lie in the market.
