My sister just informed me that she (and therefore I) am invited to the HBO Game of Thrones-themed party at Sundance. WHAT THE....?! I have watched a few times, but how do I dress for this?! Maybe the DKNY dress will do double duty. Any fans of the show have ideas?

I'm pretty sure you don't need to dress like a GoT character of you don't want to.

Of course not, but if would be a way to incorporate something referencing the show that isn't a chain mail bra, I'd be interested... Googling images now.

Cold and dry, I'm sure, but at an indoor venue. I was planning on bringing only the Ugg Cortonas and dressing around them for all the events... Leather jacket or leggings?

Oh, Janet, if only! I have the bronze Eject booties, but they may be treacherous in snow and ice. Otherwise I have my recently mangled DV Joust booties. Have been searching for the right metallic boot for two years now - any suggestions?

Which characters on the show have doable wardrobes? Is fur involved? Like leather leggings, metallic footwear, faux fur vest?

Those are gorgeous booties! Una, google search Ygritte. She's a badass north of the wall warrior chick. Definitely fur. Leather leggings, metallic footwear, faux fur vest? I say yes, yes and yes!

I second the leather leggings with awesome booties or with or leggings and the ugg cortonas since they have a period feel. Do you have a long woven tunic that you could put a hip belt with and blouson, in cotton, linen or silk? Vest -oversized brocade or faux fur vest? Chains, long faux pearls. I would be going the the Bonnie Charlie highwayman look myself. If you want to go all renfaire... I have a quilted black velvet doublet that was custom from moresca which is totally awesome (because every girl needs a black velvet quilted doublet - don't ask!!) http://www.moresca.com/ But I think you could juri-rig something awesome!! This is my standard all hallows look but I have worn pieces of it out in my more theatrical moments!!

I'm pretty sure you wear basically nothing, maybe draped with some rustic furs or something, however you must be perfectly waxed (from eyebrows to toes) and beautifully made up. Your hair can be mussed a bit, in true battlefield to bedroom style.
At least that's what seems to be going on every time I walk by my DH watching the show...

awesome! I'm a little jealous! the dkny dress would be fab! and any leather, lace, fur, metallic details would be excellent.

Maybe some cool uwp jewelry as a nod to the show? could have something in a reference to the houses: Dragon, Lion, Wolf, stag, horse... Maybe a cuff/bracelet ? This simple dragon egg inspired necklace from etsy is cool, but might not go with the neckline

I thought this would be easy, but then you might be spoiled for choice!

Time to bust out your leather, fur, buckles, straps, cuff bracelets, tunics... the Gidigios would go nicely if you don't like your "new" gold booties enough. Wait, do you have any fur that isn't attached to an outerwear parka type thing? A furry scarf/cowl/snood/vest thing would be fun without being costume-y.
