Gala event: What goes good with this dress and shoes?

Hi all,

I have a Gala event this Friday and I don't know what type of makeup(colors etc) and hairdo will fit with my navy blue dress. Any advice? This is my dress: http://tinypic.com/r/20ib9qb/9

And also I'm going to get a pedicure tomorrow but what color goes good with my shoes and the dress? My shoes: http://i64.tinypic.com/2s7dxmp.jpg

Love the dress and shoes! I like to keep the makeup similar to my day look, with a bolder lip or eye added. It’s hard to offer advice with hair, since I don’t have an idea of length or color. Have a great time!

Hmm ... Don't know your colouring, your style preferences or where in the world you live. (Please consider to add some info in your profile. This can be very helpful when you ask for advice from the forum.) In my part of the world (Scandinavia), a Gala dress usually has floor-length and not too deep cleavage ... For Gala events/dresses, elegant updos are common. With a navy blue Gala dress, a classic makeup with red lipstick is nice. With beige/nude sandals, you could choose red, beige/nude or pearly white nail polish.
