F/W: Bright and earthy - YouLookFab Forum

I've been thinking a lot about color after seeing several posts about fall capsules, and all I can say is, thank god for Finds!!! I was able to look at some new purchases and considerations, along with owned clothing I had already documented, and it all became strikingly clear. I am in the mood for bright earthy tones.

Big yes from me! Cinnamon has been a fave especially!

I like it! Had not even occurred to me that there's an alternative to the muted earth tones palette so popular in the stores right now.

I'm not attracted at all by drab or distressed but I do like clay, olive, slate, etc, just need to find fresh looking versions.

I was just thinking, as I browsed the forum lately and also watching a decor show on Netflix, that the combo of rust/cinnamon and mid tone pinks is definitely a current theme I enjoy

Great collection! I’m very envious of all the fall shopping (and down under, fall wearing) going on because I love the colours and patterns. I’m tempted by those NB sneakers as well.

Unfortunately it’s 30C here and I just have zero need for new fall clothes as we likely face further lockdowns. So I am vicariously enjoying other’s shopping instead - thanks for sharing.

Viva, I love these vivid earthy colors for a fall pallet.

I'm right into this colour palette, as you know. I'm taking it right into home decor /accessories for the next couple of months too and sprucing up my condo. Do you own those Madewell boots? I quite love those.

Lisap, I have those boots on order - waitlisted until Sept 20. I need a couple of good pairs of walking shoes/boots for the fall/winter to handle my walk to/from the office. I am not buying any more "refined" shoes for the foreseeable future. I have high hopes for those boots!!!

I love these earthy but bright tones, also. I've recently made a dried floral bouquet with rust colored magnolia leaves and earthy pink flowers, just so satisfying.

I was reading a ‘trend’ report earlier today, and a colour called ‘rosewood’ is reported to be popular for fall. The garments shown were cinnamon with a bit more red/pink and a little less orange. What a great colour to go with black, grey, any of the blues, and olive - or monochromatic like your collection.

Really pretty colors for fall. I tend to stick with my cool neutrals and blues and greens, but I’ve also been enjoying reds the last couple of years. And I now have a small cognac complement, which I like combining with my neutrals and blues. A new season approaching is a great opportunity to consider a fresh color palette.

Speaking of rosewood , that little ruffled puffer from T Tahari is available in that colour , albeit unhelpfully in an XS .

“Bright earth tones” is not a formulation I’ve heard before. It might be a way for me to get in on the earthy trend. Thanks for posting! I certainly have the pinks, will have to rummage around for cinnamon and others.

Rosewood, with less orange, also sounds like a good color for me, although I’d prefer a different name for it. There town of that name in Florida that was entirely razed in a race riot in the 1920s. My son read about it in his high school English class, and there’s a documentary about it, so I think it’s widely known.
