I have no bandwidth for shopping or time for try-ons (I'm away from home for a week and starting a new job after that), but once things settle down I'm going to need a few more outfits to get me through a 5-day work week... I'm leaning towards dresses and tall boots...

Yes, like you I have been looking for winter dresses, especially sweater dresses, as I need to retire the ones I have. Too short, wrong colors, flimsy or scratchy fabric, wide necklines. The offerings in all types of clothing seem dominated by cool colors this season.

I empathize with your dress challenges, ladies. I dress women for a living - dresses are HARD.

I didn't add winter dresses this year - I have however added one occasionwear dress and four (ahem) summer dresses and one two piece dress. Two are very casual - almost beach covers.

I did see some good midi dresses and skirts here though...

Winter dresses are not a big need for me - I think I prefer skirts in the winter with sweaters or layer something sleeveless. Not to say I don't own any, of course .
