Furry Vest, FTW?

After my last "wookie" vest debacle, I'm wondering if this is a step in the right direction. It's longer and much less bulky although I'm not sure if you can tell from the poorly lit photos. What say you? I can re-post daylight photos tomorrow but won't bother unless the general shape, texture and fit is good. It's the end of the day and I look totally disheveled--sorry!

While I think the length and fit from the front view is better, I think the back view is still not up to snuff. The back of the shoulders need to be cut out (think a bit more of a racerback cut) a bit more. Is it a move in the right direction? Yes. Is it all the way there? No. From all the fab looks I have seen from you, this does not seem good enough for you.

I find it difficult to be objective about furry garments -- maybe you've read some of my previous tongue-in-cheek remarks about the dubious appeal of 'caveman chic' -- but this one does seem to have a lovely texture. It almost looks like feathers in the pictures. And I think I agree with Refugee; the cut looks good from the front, but still a bit blocky from the back. (Maybe you could try it with a club in hand and a bone nosering or hair accessory?). OK, sorry, sorry, I intend only gentle humour.

So my verdict is that while this vest does not appear, like the last one, to have been crafted from the hide of Han Solo's first mate, it's still not perfect. You've got the stature to pull off a furry vest, but something's still 'off' about that one.

The texture is attractive but its cut is still not up to scratch.I agree that a cropped length is a better option for you, although this length is nice. I hope you are having fun with this quest.

I have not seen the other post yet, but I like this one. It's not overwhelming you from the front view. From the back it looks a tad bulky but that may be because the back is mostly full fur coverage. I don't recall seeing any posts with people on YLF modeling their fur vests from the back view and I can't help but wonder if this is typical of a fur vest. A co-worker recently wore a fur vest and I remember her's looking similar. I certainly don't think the back view is a deal breaker. For me it's the front view I look at for fur vests and if it does not engulf the wearer (and this one does not) then I vote keep.

Thank you, Debora, Brenda, Helen, Refugee, elisabeth, Lantana, Lisa, and Angie! It looks like I can safely say that "no Wookie was harmed in this experiment." Stick a fork in me, baby! I'm done and this lovely faux pelt is going under the Christmas tree!

@Lisa: I was wondering the same thing about the backsides. I've only seen them modeled here from the front. This one is quite thin though and looks pretty slim (considering) from the side.
