Furniture delivery

Our guest bedroom set was delivered today, minus the 2nd nightstand we were supposed to get. I spent all afternoon trying to straighten it out. The company is supposed to call me back. Thankfully, we have the documentation that states the 3-piece set consists of the queen sleigh bed and 2 nightstands. Ugh! I have to wait for a call back and another delivery. On the plus side, the furniture is beautiful. I'm glad we didn't buy a dresser or chest of drawers because the bed and nightstands take up a lot of space. There's no room for anything else. Thankfully, each nightstand has 3 drawers and we managed to make room in the closet for guests to hang their clothes.

I won't have room to put much. The window takes up almost all of one wall, the bed and nightstands another wall, and the closet another wall. That leaves one blank walk that's very close to the bed, and I'm not sure what to do. I can't put anything above the headboard of the bed because it's high and makes quite a statement. I'm thinking that room needs simple, understated decor.

Or a mirror? I'm always seeing people decorating with mirrors. I love the look, but somehow can't figure out how to do it myself. I have a smallish white mirror that I want to hang low, but have no good spot for... and now I'm thinking it should be more rustic to provide some contrast with my more polished furnishings...

We still haven’t gotten the other nightstand that goes with the set, and we are very angry with Sam’s Club right now, as they have had ample time to contact the vendor and get this straightened out.

We finally got the nightstand 2 days ago. It's about time! The reason it took so long was because the Sam's Club manager, who took it upon himself to help us out, couldn't contact the vendor. He called and left messages, but the vendor took a long time to respond. They finally shipped it and it was left on our doorstep. I'm glad this ordeal is over!

Wow. That *was* an ordeal! Lol. I’m kinda glad too... that was so long! I’m so glad they got there!

We received an email from the vendor after receiving the nightstand—first and only email from them ever—asking us if we were happy. I let them know how unhappy we were with the fact that it took so long for Sam’s Club to reach them. Had they answered the phone, the matter would have been resolved a lot sooner. What else can I say? That was the poorest customer service we have ever received.

I also called the Sam’s Club manager and thanked him for his help. I didn’t call him until I had been calling the Sam’s Club online team for 2 weeks. Had he not helped, we’d still be without the nightstand. I think the vendor responded only because a store manager was calling.

They did research all of the calls I made.
