White oxfords with mirrored heels

The last batch of shoes came in today, bringing the total to around 30 pairs.

If you're looking for a pair of funky white oxfords in super soft leather, I might suggest this MM pair. I like to think of them as interesting, rather than ugly.

They accommodate custom dress orthotics and have a very stable sole, meaning it doesn't bend and would be suitable for overpronators. Good for low- and high-volume feet, runs wide. Minimal tapering in the toe box.

They are the only day-to-day pair that I've tried on that are in the running. Unfortunately, my Stan Smiths are a tad narrow for full day wear at the moment, hence the urgency on my part for a non-gym shoe.

Are you keeping these? They are pretty cool, no doubt about it, but I don't love how the leather is so thin and soft that toes are visible......

Do you have to wear orthotics in everything ? Not sure if I remember what your foot issues are...

I just noticed the toe issue, but it's something I would (and have) compromise(d) on in general.

Foot considerations: severe bunions, very long middle toes, hypermobile and very low ankles, very low instep, collapsed arches, a bit of neuroma, etc.

Requirements: soft, non-contricting, wide, non-tapered toe-box; enough depth to accommodate orthotics; ideally removable insole; narrow heels; stability.

Foot devices: custom orthotics, Correct Toes

I recently saw a podiatrist who said that I needed orthotics + toe spacers (Correct Toes) + stable shoes, which radically limits my prior limited options. Even here, I'm compromising by using dress orthotics, rather than my recent prescription. I've been wearing my running shoes the past week and there is a part of me that is so frustrated by it, and a part of me that has completely checked out of fashion/style because of foot constraints.

I think they are gorgeous. I wish my life/style would accomodate shoes like this. Make sure they are super comfortable, the keep them! You will rock them and I want to see outfits.

I don't think so. If I sized down, they would be too cramped in the toe box. I wear a 40-41 in Birkenstocks naturally, and these are size are 41. The bumps are likely caused by the toe spacers. I need to try them them out for an extended period on carpeting to make sure there's no flip-flopping or slipping, though.

Gradfashionista, your discription of your feet could have been written up for mine - right down to the size. I'm finding no tolerance for heels greater than 3/4 inch and all my shoes have inserts! How do you find the Birks? I got some faux-Birks last year and loved the rigid arch of the cork bed. I tried on real Birks a couple of days ago and loved the feel of the arch under my foot, but the right side didn't quite suit my (bunioned) right foot as well as the faux version did.

I like the white Oxford with the mirrored heel quite a bit. Do you think a sock could smooth out the toe? They will be super sharp with white jeans worn rolled, or a white sundress. Imthinkmyou will have fun with them!

I was prepared to love these but I saw the same thing about the thin leather as Lisa, and I would turn those mirrored heels into shattered glass heels (which might also work) in one hour. But if they are comfortable and these aren't issues for you, let's see the WIW ASAP!

RunCarla, I own a pair of their Gizeh sandals which I sometimes wear in the summer with silicone wrapped around the thong to push out my big toe. I find them tolerable for short periods, but they also cause blistering under the bunion bone due to the shoe's edge cutting in. Of the "orthopedic" options I've tried, though, they seem the best--very true to foot shape and stability. I once owned the clogs, but had to give them away very quickly after purchasing them due to blisters.

I think those are spunky and really, really like them!

Beautiful shoes, the mirrored heel is a great touch. Keep looking after those feet. I have a dodgy ankle (I rolled it and am working on improving it's strength and some nerve damage), so I sympathise with you in wearing less than perfect footwear at the moment. I am very glad to have some oxfords and boots as they seem to be the most sensible option for me.

GF, why are you wearing toe spacers in shoes? Is it to correct a bunion? It can't be comfortable.

It won't correct it, but it helps take off pressure from the other toes and prevent pain, especially during physical activity. They're meant to be worn in shoes (unlike yoga toes) and are only uncomfortable when the shoe is too narrow.

I understand the shoe issue. I planned on asking if anyone here had tried CorrectToes. I bought some 3 months ago to help with bunion and a crossing toe. I think they are helping.

My problem is that I only have a couple of pair of slip ons that can accommodate the Toes. I look forward to summer when at least I can wear them around the house with open toes and sandals.

Your shoes look like they work pretty well with them. I'm going to check them out.

I think they are very stylish. If they are comfortable and meet the medical needs of your feet, then I say yes! That is, if there's nothing you love even more in this category.

The soft leather reminds me of dance oxfords.

I like the shoes. I've got three white pairs under consideration (2 backless loafers and 1 slides) and need to get to a decision.

I think my feet are very very similar to yours, maybe a tiny bit smaller. I have improved the flat feet/ pronating issue significantly with yoga (I have a teacher who's always after me to pick up my arches). I have an arthritic toe/ incipient bunion on one foot. Do you find toe spacers/ yoga toes to help? I have the latter, but I find them uncomfortable at best and am never sure if my feet feel better afterwards or are just happy to be rid of the spacers.
