Thanks for the feedback everyone! I also have a preference for the check, so good to hear that in some of your comments. I also had reservations regarding sizing, which you have picked up on too!
Suz -- Yes, I can think of several ways to wear them, including with jeans! I just happened to throw these on over part of an outfit I was wearing today; glad that worked too
bj -- Yup, grunge definitely fits in my rocker warrior aesthetic. In fact, I was wearing a plaid buttondown shirt instead of the draped blouse over the same outfit today.
Ceit, amiable -- thanks!
Parsley -- I prefer the check too! Regarding sizing, I think it is supposed to be oversized. The model was wearing size S, and although she is much taller than me, I have over 4" - 5" in each dimension (chest, waist, hip) than her. So I got my usual size M. Unfortunately they are out of the smaller size to try.
caro -- that's a good metric! I feel sassy
shevia -- LOL on the faces. I didn't know when my SO was taking photos, so I was kind of goofing off! I think I will only keep one.
Angie -- well hello back twin! The green is definitely going back. Glad you think the checked works; I was wondering about the size but I know it's supposed to be oversized.
Carole -- thanks!
Sarah, A -- I hear you. When I first tried it on I thought it was a bit overwhelming too. But I think that is how it is supposed to look. Anyhow, I bat for Team Front View so I will blissfully ignore the potential poochiness of the side view. Although it does look better in motion.
Oh, also -- when I wear with pants, I can do a semi-tuck to tame some of the volume. The black tube skirt I am wearing is not amenable to tucking, so the shirt's hanging free in those photos.
