Meredith, I know that a couple of the 'oh no' ones are actually more borderline or me too. I just cannot see to pinpoint what makes me feel less than fab in them, like the turquoise skirt with grey sweater. I have packed that skirt away hoping for inspiration later.
Claire, you are so fun! Ralph Lauren...but I can see it now...I love RL and have been trying to figure out what makes his style. It isn't preppy or western but something in between?. What is the Karen outfit?
Krista, oh yes,, I so agree about waist flattery. I cannot seem to let it go. SO maybe I need to stop trying slouchy things at the waist. food for thought. The skirt length is something I am actively working on...after having too short ones for so long . Thanks for noticing as it confirms my own thoughts
Manidipa...clever analysis...too much of one thing is what I don't like...you are onto something. M rubic actually is feminine versus masculine (plus more) so that must what is bothering me about the pink and turquoise skirt picture....it is too feminine even though it has structure in the jacket. jsut too many girl colors. and the version with the grey sweater is not structured enough. Hmmm, may have to try that skirt with a grey jacket!
