Fun with lipstick seasonal color testing!

So, once upon a time I followed a link to a link to a link and found a list of lipsticks you could try to test which season you are in the 12 season scheme. I tried a few at a Mac counter, and lo!!! It seemed the one that looked best on me was a deep autumn color! This was indeed groundbreaking news to me, as I've believed my whole life I was a winter, yet I love olive green and mustard yellow. Well, I like some winter colors too, but anyhow...

I was definitely not a bright or true winter. So today I got some revlons to test myself between deep winter and deep autumn. The first two pictures are DW and the last DA. All taken in the questionable light of my bathroom. What do you think? It seems to me I may be a deep winter.

Hmmm, all three look good, but I am leaning towards lipsticks 1 and 2. The third might be a touch orangey for you?

Timely, as I was about to post my field work with Sephora-brand stains for AJ and I just took a photo yesterday. I really like you in 1 and 2 and 2 gives you that pop of color when you want it or to wear with black. With my choices for you, that would make you a DW. Yes, please post the link, because I still don't know what I am, and lipsticks may pave the way.

Seems like people are preferring the first two, which are the same color: revlon colorburst plum.

I like the first two best as well. They complement your complexion best IMO.

Love your hair! Is it pinned back or actually cut that short?

Smile--which color makes your teeth look whitest? I don't think this a definitive test, but it will give you another clue.

I like the first ones. BUT I prefer cool colors, so sometimes I *project* that on to other people. I think you could probably pull the third one off too.

I like the first one on you, but I would wear the third one since I like warmer colours over cool ones

You look better in the first two, but the last one is also really good. I'd make the test in natural light, though. I agree with MsMaven to see which colour makes your teeth whiter and also you could try on these colors (not lipstick but drapes), from the Pretty Your World website (http://www.prettyyourworld.com.....rself.html):

Salmon Pink vs. Fuchsia
