Fun thread: Describe your (imaginary) dream item(s)!

After an evening of unsuccessful shopping for a replacement for my beloved, lost warm-weather jacket, I spent the better part of the night daydreaming about exactly what I wanted and couldn't find. I thought it would be fun to have a thread where we describe our elusive, perfect dream fashion items. Who knows, maybe we'll manifest them into reality (how's that for some flaky west coast hippie talk? *wink*)!

I'll start.

Dream Jacket #1:
- Lightweight, perfect for sping, fall, and summer evenings.
- Slightly cropped--hits at the true waist
- Soft cotton twill in neutral medium olive or military green
- Tab collar
- Zipper closure
- Bomber or moto style
- Has stretch so it looks nice and fitted when worn open, but can also be worn closed comfortably
- NO puffed sleeves
- Fits my somewhat broad shoulders perfectly with comfortable full range of motion (for hoisting toddlers, etc.)
- No bright gold cheap-looking hardware
- Full length sleeves

Dream Jacket #2:
- Soft, supple, lightweight faux cognac/caramel leather
- Moto style
- Same fit as dream jacket #1 (cropped, no puffed sleeves, etc.)
- Assymetrical zip that looks good worn open or closed

Dream Jacket #3:
- Knit black or other dark-ish neutral (not brown) material with some stretch
- "Shrunken" blazer styling
- Lapels that aren't skinny--those always look cheap to me
- Styling that clearly says young/casual/funky, not business/career wear
- Has some artistic-eclectic detailing

I could go on, but those are the items that immediately come to mind and that I've spent upwards of a year searching for. I guess it's obvious that outerwear is what I struggle with the most!

Shoes: Oxford booties with a tweedy/leather upper and a pair of burnished gold/burgundy with Fluevog styling. Why are these imaginary, you ask? I would like both of them with a moldable footbed and a wide toebox.

Bra: Something lacy and supportive that I could and would want to wear for hours

If we're talking imaginary as in "does not exist in this universe," then I would say really, truly, deeply comfortable, 8-hour heels.

And slim-calf black riding boots with stunning buckle detailing that are also insanely comfortable and available in my price range.

Since this is just a dream, can I just say a pair of trousers that make me look AMAZING!
These trousers must include the following details:
*Make me appear six inches taller;
*suck in my tummy and lift my butt;
*have the clever ability to raise or lower hem according to my style of shoe; PLUS
*have the magical capability to change style (ie, wide leg, to boot cut, to skinny etc) AND colour (grey, to black, to white, to denim) as per my desires.

Now that would be dream pair of trousers! (Tee-hee, initially I wrote that my trousers would be special "pants", but recall numerous conversations with my husband who states that "Pants are NOT trousers!"/"Trousers are trousers"/"Pants are undies" (underwear). - Oh the joys of being an Aussie married to an Englishman. Thought some of the UK ladies may have wondered about my sanity if they thought I was writing about magic undies....)

Great lists! Katiepea, after learning that pants = underwear and also a mild curse word in the UK, I laugh every time I say it.

Dream items, there could be a lot of these so I will limit to three of them.

Bra-A bra that does not fall off my sloped shoulders. Every bra does and it is so annoying despite being fitted.

Shirts-A button down shirt with no gaping near the chest area, and a feminine cut. Too often to get the ungaping size, I end up with a boxy cut shirt.

Necklace-A black necklace that looks like pearls, long enough to tie into a knot style and is not completely cheap. The closest I find are either too large a bead on them, too short, or plastic that looks like it would peal in a week.

Hmm....

I'd have to go with black riding boots - classic styling with a slight edge, with low heels, very skinny calves that fit size 11 feet, for under $100.

Hmmm.....oh, and a linen dress that's wrinkle free with tank-style straps, a raised waistline and princess cut. I want it to be ivory with black trim and embroidery. (I think I could manage all of this myself, except for the wrinkle-free linen part).
