I'm beginning to think about fall wardrobe planning. Yes, it's 100 degrees, but the NAS catalog is out so I'm not the only one thinking ahead.
I need to do a significant fall overhaul with clothes, but I don't want to neglect Angie's advice to update specs and bras. After two weeks of field research in recently harvested wheat and hay fields my eyes are crying out for a break from my contacts, so I visited two optical shops today.
At the first shop, I told them I wanted some fun statement glasses that didn't need to go with everything. I was interested in colored frames. The associate thought two Oliver Peoples frames were my best options. My facial expression says it all. These are serious frames. I want something fun. I do think the larger frames work for my face, I'm just (personally) over the big acetate geek chic look.
Onto the next shop. These frames are MUCH more interesting and they each come in 10+ color options. The brands are Roger and Woow for anyone interested. Obviously, I am smiling much more naturally in this shop's selection of glasses. Which do you prefer? Feel free to let me know color preferences, but I'm primarily interested in your thoughts on frame shape.
Sorry for the goofy selfies! I'll narrow it down to a few based on your suggestions and take better pictures when I'm not wearing field clothes.
I will chime in, but might not be around much tonight.
1. I am a very serious anthropologist.
2. Is this really your idea of "fun?"
3. Big fuchsia frames.
4. More classic than I was thinking, but quite lovely.
5. No clue why I am making the "ok" sign. Is it a sign?
6. The most unusual of the bunch.
7. Wrong color, but I like the frame. Too big?
8. The most delicate of the frames. Too big?
