I have been thinking of getting some bright pink shoes to match my pink belt and pairing it with my black and white fit and flare dress, my new cobalt floral skirt etc. I have also been pondering some in turquoise for a few on my wrap dresses. Trying to decide if this is fashionable or juvenile. I have black shoes, and brown shoes, a single pair of snakeskin booties and a pair of leopard smoking slippers that really stick out!

I like those but have the same hesitation you do. I wonder what the experts will say?
What about a bone pair with the pink or turquoise as an accent color?

I think the bow is making it look more juvenile. My DD would love those shoes, especially the pink one!

I do have a pair of turquoise Kate Spade pumps, though, so I'm not afraid of colorful shoes. Maybe you can find one without the little bow on top?

Natalie is brilliant! I couldn't figure out why I wasn't loving them. I love colorful shoes. I just realized, though, that my colorful shoes are all suede. Maybe because suede reads visually as more lush and velvety, they seem more grown-up in bright colors? I don't know. Also, maybe the shape because they are ballet flats, which are a perennial favorite for young girls?

Well. I would wear these ballet flats in neutrals or red. Not colours. I have no issue with the bow at all. A perfect Chanel classic

That said, I'm into pointy toe flats at the moment so these would not make it into my closet.

Ballet flat style in those colours read too young. Red, gold, silver, or two toned would be classic. The pink or the blue would require a pointy toe. I think someone posted pink and blue pointy shoes just last week. They were kitten heeled. Yes, check DayVies Orlando post, first pic.

i hate kitten heels. Lve them on others, but not on me. I just can't move in them like I want to.

I like your idea of adding colored shoes to the outfits as you've suggested. I agree with others that these aren't quite the right shoe though.

I like colored shoes, and I def think you should get some. I'm not so sure about the matchy matchy shoes and belt idea...

I love coloured shoes. I often wear monochromatic outfits, with just a different coloured shoe.

I wear classic ballet flats most of the year, and while these might be a nice summery look, I prefer to get more bang for my buck. The bow is a part of classic flats.

i love the idea, but not these pairs. for some reason that pink looks off...but you have me thinking about pink shoes and i found these which will go on my list.

Style and color are both too twee for my tastes, but I can see these working with the right outfit and attitude. Maybe not THESE. What about the AGL flats (in a whole different price range, of course)?

I like this kind of ballet flats in red, black or neutral colors. If you're after sweet colors but not juvenile, I suggest two toned ones instead. Like you, I have mostly neutral footwear and it is too boring sometimes. Good luck!

They are sweet bit I would tire of them quickly. And they do read a bit juvenile to me. Pointy toed ballet flat would look good and would create so e elongation to the leg which could work nicely if to are going for a flat shoe.

I think they read a bit young although very fun. Perhaps you could get a motg shoe in a fun colour - to run around after DD?

Extremely pricey but I know members rave about them, AND a friend of mine bought a pair of the ballet flats and LOVES them.

I like the idea a bolder ballet flat. But, I am not sure the two shoes you showed are the ones. These two pairs I had pinned about a month ago and then decided I really needed sandals more. I like both for being fun and interesting but still a bit sophisticated.

Still kind of loving the ballets though....

ETA: I had ordered those Edelmans in the silver snakeskin and the pair I rec'd had very poor quality control. The left and right shoe were about 1/2 to 1 size different. I checked to make sure they hadnt been mixed up in the box but they were both stamped the same size. I wasnt sold on the fit/style being good enough to try to retun and hoping the next pair were more consistent.
