Fun glasses frames in Boston?

Anyone in the Boston area? I need to get glasses in person - my lens are thick even with modern technology. I want to find a knowledgeable store that also has fun, colorful frames. If anyone has suggestions I’d appreciate it. Thanks!

Laura, I'm not in the Boston area, but have you tried to do a search? That might be a good place to start.

What about doing a search on which frames the opticians stock? My fun optician stocks Oliver Peoples, Maui Jim’s and some fashion brands I like. If there is a frame company you really like, look on their site for opticians in your area.

We have an independent place near us with very fun frames. I have bought probably six pairs of glasses from them, including two with Etnia Barcelona frames. I did a search on Etnia Barcelona in the Boston area and there are five shops that carry them. Now I am not suggesting you should get this frame, but a shop that carries them will likely have interesting frames, not the same old, same old.

I have very thick lenses (7/8 prescription) and had luck with Warby Parker - you can do it all online, but they do have storefronts too! I usually wear contacts, but I find their glasses to be fun. These are my cat eye frames in clear and gold.

Try OCB Optical on Staniford Street near Mass General. They are very good with thick/special lenses and have a big selection of frames.
