So I’ve started watching Glee and I noticed this character Emma Pillsbury wearing something I understand is called a collar chain. Though I don’t relate to her preppy librarian style, I thought the idea of such a collar chain was very appealing. Etsy seems to sell some, and it’s clearly an item not very common in regular retail. I have also never seen one irl being worn. What do you think? Have you ever worn a collar chain? Are you drawn to it, repulsed by it or left completely neutral? Would it work with my forties tomboy outfits (worn with a white shirt, dress pants and oxfords) or push them into costume territory?
