It does not look twee to me at all, Suz. I agree with Sveta, though. You should totally order it and try it on. THe colour is a little bit more springy than your fushcia jacket.

I saw this last night, when I was looking for the orange skirt Angie recommended. The color is a bit sherbet-y.

Do you like the piping, Suz? Or are you just willing to live with it?

Thanks, everybody. You are echoing my own ambivalence!

Hot pink is...well....hot! It's a warm colour.

Fuchsia, while in the same intensity range, shades to cool. Not quite as purple as magenta, but on the cooler side and a little less "pink."

One is not better than the other. But I look better in fuchsia than in hot pink. However, I look good in pretty well any berry colour as long as it's not too bright, so there's quite a wide acceptable range.

I was using twee in the British sense, Elisabeth. I thought it might look too cute or precious with the piping, the cropped fit, the gold button.

But I think all of you are right. The only way to know is to see.

I won't order it yet. I'm just going to consider until I can get a good look at it in Toronto in a few weeks and possibly even try it on. Zap makes a point about the top pocket detail, although with my small bust this is not necessarily the drawback it is on a more generously endowed woman. Typically it sort of disappears into the background, as it were, whereas it would leap right out front and centre if I actually had a bust.

You've all made excellent points and I am going to exercise PPP!

ETA: In theory I like piping, CF -- DEPENDING. What I want to say is it is the kind of look that suits me (very crisp) but if overdone veers too classic/preppy for my taste. I think in a sherbety colour it would feel too preppy. THank you!

Suz, I think you should definitely take a look at it. It may be a touch too preppy for your style but the shape would really suit you. It is definitely going to depend on how you style it.

I tried on a jacket in LV and I actually though of you and your fuschia jacket, it was funny! I didn't get it, it was ridiculously expensive and I'm not a huge fan of purple. But this jacket looked so amazing on, I almost caved. It was this one.

I really like it and think it would look really good on you. You rock that color.

Ooh - TINA - it is PERFECT!!!

Okay...where in LV????

I know I can't afford it, but hey, a girl can dream, right?

Oh, that jacket Tina posted would be perfect for you Suz!

I also think the BR jacket has potential for fabness, but definitely something you need to try on...

Yes, Tina B's jacket! Perfection!

Sorry Suz, just saw this. I'll link you up. I tried it on in Barney's. I'm still thinking about it.

Style of the BR jacket is fab but the colour is off. Not a blue based pink.

Thanks, Angie -- this is what I suspected, too. Alas.

TIna, that jacket is SO gorgeous. But also so expensive. Double, triple, quadruple alas! Oh well. The right one will come along if I am PPP!

I think we are going to see a lot of this style/shape upcoming. I'll be using this one as inspiration also, in my search for other options. Would like a navy jacket like this. Also waiting to see if this one will eventually go on sale. Crossing fingers!

Yes - I would consider it seriously if it went on sale. Even at a high price. Just not THAT high!!

I just ran across this one today that is similar -- http://www.thebay.com/eng/wome.....bay/280941
