I need to remember to work on outfit creation more often. It always seems like such a chore but once I get going, the creative juices start flowing and I find some goodies.
@Joy: Thank you. I had tired of some of these but after not wearing them for awhile, they actually feel kind of new. There are only a handful I’d wear now--most of these would work better in the spring or early fall.
@Cee: Thank you!
@slimcat: Thanks! I think the Thakoon dress works better in person. It had a self belt but I can’t find it. I’d probably rein it in with a vest or a narrow belt. Last time I wore it, I used it as a jacket and wore it open.
@Kari: Thank you. I looked at the Rory’s a few weeks ago and just put them back. I’m glad you posted on them! I feel like I have new shoes to play with.
@Gigi, lyn67 and notsaf: Thank you! I’m glad to know the midis look okay. I was unsure about those but you have given me courage to maybe leave the house in them!
@Kathie: Thank you! I agree that the floral skirt and merino sweater are a bit seasonally confused. I typically wear that with a black tank or t shirt--but it’s too cold for that right now. It was more or less an experiment to see how that hemline played with the boots.
@torontogirl and kkards: Thank you! I’m excited about the possibilities for that metallic skirt now that I have another footwear option for it!
@Laura: Thank you! Hope to get a few more years out of both of these OG YLF pieces I hear you on the shorter hemlines. For me, they work best with OTK or tall boots--and since I’m in CA and am allergic to hosiery, the shorter hemlines still work (for a few more years at least.)
@notsaf: Those Dorado slouch are gorgeous! I remember that style!
@Aquamarine: Thank you! Every year I’m tempted to get rid of the Gap sweater but I keep it around because it’s the only bulky sweater I own. It gets worn maybe once or twice a year but it has come in handy.
@Runcarla: Thank you. Thanksgiving isn’t very fancy and I’m cooking so I’ll probably end up in my uniform of jeans and a light weight sweater. I always think I’ll get dressed up but I never do.
@Angie: Thank you! You made my day!
@AJ: Lol. Thanks. The kimono jacket over a tee is a very likely candidate. I can take that off in the kitchen and put it on after the cooking is done.
@lisa and Style fan: Thank you. The boots are in great condition--the style is more dressy than my everyday work boot so they haven’t seen a lot of wear. I’m excited to wear slouchy again though--I kind of miss that look. Now if only the spat style boot would come back!
@shevia: Haha. Thank you. You’re too funny.
