A Happy New Year to all Fabbers!!!

It's been unseasonably warm here this year. End of Dec to Jan beginning is the time it's the coldest here in india....cold winds, bitter chill and persistent fog.

Yet this year it continues to be warm and sunny! I haven't worn my favourite coats at all....not even once. You can wear just a long sleeve shirt through the day and pop on a sweatshirt in the evening...and that's it!

In anticipation of cold weather, I had packed away all mild weather clothing. And it's frustratingly warm now! Ugh! I've been very uninspired fashion-wise the last 2 weeks. Since I've been traveling, I just wore a lot of skinny jeans, cropped jeans and sweatshirts/sweaters.

Hopefully I'll get in the groove now that I'm back. I really really hope I do!

Poor Manny!

I think it's the El Nina. So someone from the south of England was telling me, where their winter is only about as cold as the Australian winter.

It's been unseasonably warm in the east coast US too, so I share your frustration. Winter is my favorite wardrobe season.

Today is actually the first day it was cold enough to need a hat or gloves. We'll see if it stays cold or not though!

It's been unseasonably warm here too, so I know what you mean. I bought some tops for myself from Anthro for Christmas, and a few of them were short- or 3/4-sleeved, and although I can wear them due to the mild weather, I'm just not inspired. We've had hardly any snow, and the temps are still hovering around freezing. Around this time of year, it's not uncommon for there to be a cold snap where it gets to be 30 or 40 degrees below 0 (F)--so this is a big change. I'm not a big winter fan, but I was looking forward to really changing over the wardrobe for the cold weather. It does indeed feel uninspiring.

It is frustrating when the weather does not do what it is supposed to do. Whilst I am not a lover of cold weather, I do understand what it is like to want to wear something and the weather does not oblige. Hopefully some cooler weather is on its way!

I hear you Manny...so frustrating. Seems to be global weather problem too. So crazy. I'm sure you'll get some proper winter-type weather soon. Meantime I guess you'll have to make lemonade...

Ya know, it's -11 with a wind chill of -20 outside here. I'm having a really hard time mustering up any sympathy for anyone complaining that it's too "hot".

I know the weather can knock you off track style-wise, I'm just teasing. But I have learned not to pack clothes away until the weather DOES change... I've been caught many a time.

Another US East Coast dweller, so I hear you Manny! This year I got lucky: I had too mch going on to pack away my 'cool autumn, early winter' capsule, but my disorganisation proved fortunate in providing me with options. It's finally cold here (10 degrees F as I prepare to hit the road), so maybe that cooler weather will make its way to you

The weather is enemy #1 for fashion as far as I am concerned! I think, unpack some warm weather things, and watch how quickly it will turn cool once you do!!

Right there with you! I love cold weather...well, US South version of cold. Probably not the Canadians version of cold! We were in the 80s all last week and I complained constantly. One week later...low tonight 23. Not going to gripe about it one bit!!

Thank you so much, ladies. Yes, I guess you're all right----stop depending on what the weather is "supposed" to be like in order to feel fashionably dressed!

I guess it's time to stop worrying about what I *cant* wear and just enjoy what I CAN wear, right?!

Moving onwards! It's good to have 'comfortable' weather. I'm secretly a little glad this frustration is a global phenomena this year....I'm not the only one!

I am definitely going to stop cribbing and start planning better outfits right away! Thanks for letting me vent, ladies.....you're all simply THE BEST!

It's tough when you have to pack away clothing and then the weather doesn't cooperate! I know this feeling, too. I hope you get a few cooler days and can enjoy your winter wonders.

I'm sorry you're not having the cold weather you crave. I know what that's like. We've had drought the past four years. So even though we're only 20 minutes from a ski resort we've had virtually no snow these past four years. The El Nino phenomenon mentioned above is changing all that this year. I hope we get enough to fill our reservoirs. It's snowing right now. Actually it's dumping - big fat fluffy flakes. I was scheduled to work in our thrift store this afternoon. I just got a call - they're closing the store due to snow!

I can definitely relate! Until recently it was super warm still, no need for a puffer coat or winter boots. But right now it's way below freezing in Berlin! No fun going outside. The weather is kind of crazy.

That happened to me in reverse. Winter - which we haven't had in years - hit like a ton of bricks and was all packed away.

Another one with unusual weather. Our beach holiday was not exactly warm and I wore my pink hoodie over and over again!! I was a bit out of the groove as well

I am sure being home will get you back into the swing of things - but it does seem that Global Warming is starting to affect many of us.

You're so right, Sally. I'm worried. This is the warmest winter in India in the last 5 years. We usually get a bout of rain Dec end-early Jan that gives way to fog and bone-chilling cold days.
However, this year has been super sunny and hence warm. Our daytime temperatures are 24-26deg C! That's about 5 to 6 degrees warmer than what it should be this time of the year.

I remember feeling this way last year, when the East Coast US was getting socked with snow and it just wasn't happening here. This year, the pattern is quite the opposite so far. I really think I need seasonal variations to keep me sane. I hope you get some cooler weather, even it comes a little late.
