This board has a lot of great ideas, advice, and recomendations. I have noticed that specific item item suggestions are usually way out of my price range, though. I have seen people in other posts taking about thrifting, ebay-ing, and bargain hunting, so I know there are others on a similar budget out there. Fess up Cheap Chica's, and post your latest, greatest finds!

Me? I found a short sleeved, long, open front cardigan sweater for $7.50 on the clearance rack at Target the other day. It's a medium gray, and 100% cotton. I was going to save it for fall, but it's cooled down again here and I might get a chance to wear it.

Those kind of bargains are often "stumbled upon" and harder to get when I am specifically hunting for a new closet addition. A random act of cheapness lol.

I see ylf's posting in all price ranges so curious what deals have been found.

Nice bargain Chewy Spaghetti! I actually wore a medium gray long-sleeved cardigan yesterday over a fuchsia short-sleeved top (it's still chilly in the evenings here). I bet you'll get good use out of yours too.

And I found a silver grey trench (mentioned it in the comments on Angie's post) two weeks ago, for 35 euro (about $45), pleased as Punch with it;-)

Some of my best recent bargains were from Macy's: classic trench (London Fog) $59 and black sweater dress (Alfani) for $16, and two basic belts from Wal Mart for $8

given my circumstances, i can't afford to splurge on big ticket items, so shopping thrift and bargain hunting is the only route i ever go...

It is Queen's Week next week in NL. I found an orange denim jacket for the event for 10 euro. I was happy that I have a bright orange to sport that day! That's the only shopping I've done for more than a month except for the OBI belt I posted, so no other bargains for me. I post daily steal daily on my blog of whatever I come across that day.

Encore- I got a pair of smart casual trouser jeans at Macy's recently- $17! Their sales rule, I wish we had one closer.

Inge, I found a trench recently too ($20 on clearance at Target)- I love it! You always hear that it's a piece every woman needs, but I didn't believe it until I got one.

Well, today I'm wearing a red cardigan with mother-of-pearl buttons that I thrifted for around $5... and I just got a new pair of running shoes on sale for about half off, which made me happy. I hate spending money on gear (would far rather buy cute clothes) but sometimes it's necessary! I thrift quite a bit--on any given day at least one item in my outfit is usually thrifted or from a consignment store. I also just scored a pair of Privo flats on eBay for $50 including shipping (I'd tried them on IRL first).

I'm not a thrift shopper because there isn't a good store near me-at least I haven't found one! I love a bargain and enjoy shopping at Marshalls, TJ Maxx and Target. I try to never pay full price even if I could afford too. It is more fun for me to see how much money I can save! I wore my favorite denim jacket today that I got at Target 2 years ago, and I still felt fab in it.

Last spring I got an Old Navy gray/black plaid wool lined pencil skirt on clearance for $2 at a consignment shop. I shortened it to the correct knee length and wore it *lots* this last fall and winter with sweaters and knee-high boots.

I've duplicated my Lucky Classic Rider jeans three times on e-bay, in prices ranging from $16.75 to $22.50 (including shipping).

I have recently gotten into thrift store shopping. I have gotten some mind blowing great deals. It could be my new obsession!

I love Savers. The one that I shop at is very clean, very organized and has great prices. I try to keep tops to $5 or less and bottoms $6-10. I got 2 Ann Taylor skirts and a Lauren cream blouse for $2.45 each last Friday. SCORE!

I believe most thrift/consignment shops keep things fairly organized. I like it when they have it by style (women's short sleeve tops - knit) then by size, then within the size, they have it by predominant color (all reds together, etc).

After saving all that money...well, I ordered a bottle of my favorite perfume for $105! So much for being frugal!

Well Susan- if you save that much then you deserve a splurge!
We don't have "good" thrift stores here. They are mostly poorly organized, and expensive. Many times, I can find something just as nice on the clearance rack at Target for the same price- in less time. One if them is worth going through, though. The last time I was there I found a silk Bebe dress for $5. I didn't buy it because even if I will someday fit into it, it wouldn't have been flattering. It killed me to leave it there, though.

We are getting a new Ross, and I am way too excited LOL We don't have a TJ Maxx, but we have a store called DD's Discounts which is similar, oh and Susie's Deals- anyone else have one of those? Everything is $5.99 and under. I have found things from Old Navy, Gap, New York & Co, etc.

Brianna, I'm the same way with workout gear. I just had to buy new stuff, and I got it on sale with a coupon from Old Navy, and the shoes also on sale with a coupon LOL

I continue to have good luck on e-Bay. The deals are there, believe me! If you know which brands work for you style-wise and size-wise, you can really score. Just be a smart shopper!

Kyle I think that's true everywhere- you have to be smart.
Today, I was at Ross and I found a bunch of BCBG Max Azaria dresses and other gret stuff, and I left it all there. Nothing fit just right, or worked for me. I did have some great finds at Susie's Deals, though- a top that I think is from Banana Republic, a tunic length cotton sweater, and a pair of capri leggings. I also got a coupon for $5 off a $35 purchase, so I am heading back there for some things that I left and more leggings!

I went back to Susie's Deals to use my coupon. I got another pair of capri leggings (off white), 3 cowl neck tunics for fall (short sleeve purple, 3/4 sleeve cream, and long sleeve teal), a set of hair bands, a t-shirt for Wonder Teen, and a tank for Princess Stomping Foot all for $35.
Oh and I got another coupon LOL I may got back again

Wonderful find on the cowl neck tunics...they will sure be great for layering this fall. I haven't had a cowl neck since jr. high...I will have to keep my eyes open for one.

Seems like you really fancy teal, so I bet you will get lots of wear from that one!

It's funny- I used to *hate* teal. Then I realized how good it looks on me LOL I love cowl necks. They are very good for minimizing my large chest. You would think they would do the opposite for the chest, but they don't. I think the line cutting through the area works. I will be watching for cowl neck sweaters, too.

I'm on a roll this week!
I went to Target this morning and I got a bra (hard to find in my currrent size), and one more spring/summer top- $10 each. It's the kind of berry colored empire waist top in the ad this week. It's very flattering on me, and a good length for pants. Not my favorite color, but all they had was black and this color, and black completely washes me out.

I went to the outlet mall today. I left a lot there, but I brought home a pair of wool blend, fully lined Martin Fit brown herringbone pants from Banana Republic. Originally $89.99, but I paid just under $18!
