As many may already know, I was laid off earlier this year. I was devastated, but quickly realized that a) I couldn't fall into an abyss of despair, and b) I needed to meaningfully connect with people who would be willing to offer support. The process has had moments of great hope and crushing disappointment to the point where I was ready to wave the white flag of surrender last week. Then, I received notification last Friday that I have a new position that will be starting on 11/3. Best early birthday gift! Even better were the virtual "Attagirl" acknowledgements from my former work colleagues. Of course, I'm cheering for them and will support them in their efforts.
Once again, YLF has been an important pillar of support. I didn't always have time to chime in over the summer, but I was always checking in for wisdom from Angie and
all the incredible YLF forum members. Onward to a new and exciting chapter!
