A great cut!

I often do not like how a hairdresser arranges my hair after a cut. So I'm looking forward to seeing how it looks after you've played with it. Will you do some soft curls/waves with your new flat iron?

I sent it back AJ. The plates are not only narrower, but shorter than the bigger size, which makes it hard for me to use. My hair kept slipping out and I have to go over it 2-3 times, which is not good for it. As my hair gets longer, the 1.25" one that I already own should work just fine, so I decided to just be patient. I don't think I'd curl my hair most days anyway. Takes too long and requires a higher heat setting to last.

The stylist did not arrange my cut at all. I didn't even have my hair washed. She cut it dry and dirty. This is after I came home and washed my hair.

I've seen you in person several times, so I'm going to be especially opinionated here. I LOVE your killer eyebrows. They are such a strong and pretty part of your face. I'm going to be a devil and say that I'd love to see the fringe shorter and more dramatic so that we can still see your brows :0)

I think a tiny* little* finishing pomade on the ends of those will separate them out just enough to give you a choppier look and the killer brows will shine through...:) beautiful eyes you have:)

I don't like the proportions of my face in short bangs. I'd rather have no bangs, but I suppose it's a bit late to make that choice. Interesting that you find short bangs more dramatic. I always felt the opposite way. I guess I could do something with the texture, or do what Taylor said, to make my brows come through more, but I would not want to go shorter.

You've had a shorter fringe and I LOVED it, Maya. When you copied Audrey Tatou's do in Amelie. Why are you so against it?

I have a very small forehead and high arched brows just like you and my short fringe has worked. Clever, Taylor though - my hair is full of goo and that definitely helps.

I tried (but failed) to emulate the rest of her flippy bob, but definitely not the bangs. The pictures below shows the shortest I have ever had them, and it was not my favorite length. I would only cut it that short to extend time between trims while I was away at school. It makes my nose and face look very long. Audrey can pull it off with her cute button nose but I don't like it on myself.

Maya.. I think a wee bit shorter would work & if you used product like Taylor suggested you could get a choppier look and it won't look bunched together ( as in your pics above). In any case you look super fab.. am waiting to see more pictures especially with your polka dot dress ! Very Amelie like

The third picture isn't above my eyebrows. The second is. I dunno, I just don't like it.

I feel like I should just grow them back out again :\

Maya could simply achieve this shorter look by blowing it under with a small/med round brush....you can do it on dry hair . No need to cut it and the versatility of flatter longer or shorter springier is up to your mood that day

I like them longer. I think shorter bangs with a bob can go to a kind of Hot-Topic place (hope I haven't offended anyone).

You asked me how they would interact with my glasses Angie, and I replied by saying I don't wear glasses enough for it to be an issue and that I'd rather have long bangs or no bangs. I don't think anyone replied after that.

So I guess the question is should I maintain them or grow them back out. I don't want them shorter. We're talking about my face here, and if I'm not happy with how they look, it really doesn't matter how much anyone else likes them. But I guess at the same time, if everyone thinks it's better to go fringeless, I'd rather do that.

Noooo . don't grow them out fringe is fun , you can do different things and they frame your face beautifully. Style them different ways until YOU are happy:) In the end Maya it is what makes you comfy and happy. Play around, You have had this before and know what works for you.

Maya, you got that right, its all about what you like on you!!! I tell my clients that all the time, its all about what they want an not so much me. I personally don't see any thing wrong with both bangs, long or short on you looks great!

Ok, I took the tiniest amount of lightweight whipped wax and ran it through the ends a bit. Like just enough to make a film on my fingers. It looks and feels stringy and nasty. I can't do goo in my hair every day. The whole reason I have it in the first place it is because I bought it when my hair was short, but it is virtually unused because I just can't get used to the hard, greasy feeling. It looked nice in long hair but in the bangs it just looks gross, like I haven't washed them. I didn't even use that much. What else can I do with this fringe? Using a round brush would just make them poofy and short. I am leaning towards the grueling grow-out right now.
