After having tried on umpteen pairs of BF jeans over the past year, I found these (see below). They're a bit of a wild card item because I've long opposed the distressed look for me, but the price reduction swayed my opinion. Also, since my size was sold out, I ended up going down a size which made the waistband comfortably rather than unreasonably large. Rag and Bone Dre.
On the culottes front, these are quite tailored in the waist and thigh and structured in the leg--exactly what I've been seeking. They could be shorter to be more flattering, but I prefer less calf to show. Everlane.
