Ha - I have the Vanity Fair in white and black from I'd say 20 years ago! I still occasionally need and wear it, but I should probably update to more like the Farr West.

This is great, thanks for posting! I have been holding on to slips my mom passed down to me because I can never find them in stores. (I rarely wear them, but I like having one just in case!)

If I had the brains to cut a slip I would have done it long ago! I hate the lace at the bottom too (unless it's pretty enough to show, and mine are too cheap for that).

Shocking fact: my short half-slip is actually the slip my mom bought for me when I was still in grade school. Yes, it's true. Obviously it's nice and short now (and the elastic gave out long ago). But it works perfectly, and now that I know there's a shortage of them out there, I don't feel quite so bad about it.
