Actually made a purchase today! My husband and I spent a little time walking around downtown Durango, CO on a beautiful fall day after catching up on a huge pile of laundry and taking some time to thoroughly clean the camper. We’ve been boondocking in the dusty desert so we felt a need to freshen up at an RV campground with water and power hookups and most importantly, laundry.

In town we stopped in a cool little outfitter, where hubs got some great pants by Kuhl (one of the few brands that really work for him as they cut 36” inseams long enough), a fleece jacket, and a hat to replace one he lost on a windy day in the Shoshone River.

I didn’t need anything, but had my eye on a good waffle tee but they didn’t have a color that appealed to me. This quilted Fjallraven vest, however, popped into my radar and I decided to spring for it. It’s super lightweight and not bulky at all, so it layers nicely. And the color is perfect for me, as evidenced by the photo.

Yeah, the photo. I am continuing my months-long commitment to Stevie Budd style. Jeans, tee, plaid shirt, Converse. Not a stitch of makeup. And my hair is wind blown and clearly not styled. At least Sunny looks pretty!

I think when we get home I may try doing a semi permanent hair color DIY just to soften the grey and even out the tone a bit to get rid of the brassiness of the old color growing out. I feel like more grey shows in the photo than when I look in the mirror, but maybe the mirror is wishful thinking and the photo is reality. Maybe when I get back home, I’ll care what I look like again! Haha!
