Forum hog - also have Caspains, Danier top and a blazer to show you

Ok, I promise this is the last for today. I just got a lot of new items in the mail at the same time, and old ones I didn't have time to photograph last week.

So I go the Caspain shoes today....they are fab so far! Love the look and the comfort!

The black Danier top with leather sleeves I ordered a while back. It it a wonderfully, drapey material with a high low hemline that I love. The sleeves have zips up the forearm too which I didn't even know about until I got it.

The blazer is from Dynamite. Nothing too expensive but the knit is soft and nice. The sleeves are faux leather. I love the zip on the side, and since I couldn't find a nice navy blue knit one with full length sleeves, I think this replaces it nicely.

Anything stick out as not working too well?

Dark colors are always harder to see in photos but these all look like keepers to me. What are the washing instructions on the top with leather sleeves? You seem to be making very good choices with your wardrobe shopping. You know your style and you have a body that is not hard to fit from what I can see. Enjoy all your new pieces!

I love the shoes and top but am on the fence with the jacket. I have a tendency to prefer jackets a bit shorter for proportion though so it may be me and not the jacket.

I love all of them. The Danier top is so unique and I think it looks great. What colour caspians are those? I have had a pair in my cart forever. I really really like the look you have going! Good pics.

I'm not a blazer gal so I can't really comment on the fit of the blazer. Do you mind having two items with leather sleeves? I know you won't be wearing them at the same time

Lol, cciele, I like having many items with leather sleeves...or leather anything. But you're right, they won't be worn together.

Dianthus I usually like shorter jackets too, but this lenght was ok with me., Seems like longer lengths are in now, from what I've seen around the mall?

Glory the Caspains are black, they have the grey sole, which I prefer to the white.

The sneaks are amazing --- modern, but approachable, if you know what I mean. As we say in the parent biz --- You could wear those in the pick-up liine at school!

The leather-sleeved shirt is amazing and, as long as the laundering isn't a barrier, I definitely say keep. I'm less sure of the blazer. The fit and the lower stance is terrific, but something about it seems "business" and "conservative" to me ---- I'll let others weigh in, and I have no questions that you're styling abilities could overcome any question marks.

Beth Anne, I plan to hand wash the leather sleeved shirt. Maybe keep the sleeves out, but I have some items with small leather trim that I *gasp* put through the gentle cycle and they come out fine. The blazer probably shows more buisness-y in the photo, but it seems quite casual to me.

Do find the fit of the leather sleeves on the top a little off. Snug? Too much scrunch? Too narrow? Sorry to be a spanner :(. Perhaps it looks better in person and the light of the camera is playing tricks on the sleeves.

I love the shoes and the jacket - esp. with black under it - wow - you look amazing in it! The top seemed a bit off to me at first glance. The sleeves definitely look tight and kind of make your arms seem smaller where the leather part is. Maybe it is just the camera lighting so if you love it, you should keep it of course.

But how *do* the leather sleeves feel?

Rachylou the leather sleeves feel fine! They possibly look tighter because of the way my arm is bent? Not sure. I have them all zipped up here though, maybe I will unzip and take a pic of that later and some of you may prefer the sleeves that way.

Adore the shoes and the jacket. SHoes are funky but not too RATE and a bit diifferent. But i do agree with Angie about the sleeves of the top. To me they look almost ribbed, just a little too scrunched. And would not be able to hem them because of zippers. Sorry!

I suspect those sleeves on the top will loosen with wear. They probably look snugger than they are due to the light bouncing off them, and I know at Danier they always say that the leather stretches and molds to your body and if you buy it loose it will soon be a mess.

Yes Suz I was thinking the exact same thing. I was wearing the top around today and they are already a bit looser. Also, they are not leather all the way around, the back is knit stretchy fabric like the top. But yes they do look a little tighter in the photo and they are loosening already. I think after a few wears they could be much looser. That's what happened to my leather jacket anyway
