ETA: Fomula 2 Earthy. Formula#1 with whit(ish) coat and black coat

Inspired by Angie’s white jean outfits but on a dress day, I used my whitest sweater dress, white pants (not jeans) and a whitish puffer lined in black and an old thrifted black leather trench to try to recreate the first white jean outfit, although it would be best on someone with black hair.
Pass or Fail? The black coat is just put in for another look. Bag is Kate Spade. Boots are Aquatalia from last year to replace a pIr of much worn Le Cannadiennes. Pants are EF, dress is from Nordstrom’s last year and is actually grey and white. It looked whiter on my computer screen, but is super comfortable and has seen lots of wear.
Should I stick to all white or black or mix it up? What do you prefer?
Photos 4=8 are the spicy formula topper and white pants are EF. Top is not a sweater but has texture and is from The Rack. Booties are Born, bags are consignment Marcus. Scarf is very old and I do not remember where I got it, but think it was Ralph Loren from Dillard’s dept. store..

Beautiful outfits Joy as usual. I prefer with black coat a little. You always do right.

Both are great but my favorite is with the black coat. Clean vertical lines and drama of black and white create an elegant and slightly edgy outfit.

Black coat outfit as a sharp and clean look. Or swiping the pretty bag in the first outfit for something more simple in solid black ( to streamline the look ).

I think I like it best with the black coat.The coat echoes the boots and brings the outfit together to my eye.Nice bag!

I prefer the whitish puffer with a possible swap out with a black bag I also like to wear a dress or skirt regularly. Usually twice a week. Neat idea to utilize the formula for dress day Wonderful polished outfits!

Oh yes! These are great. I might agree about a different bag with the lighter coat... but it may be something about the picture on my phone: it took a few seconds for the picture to resolve in my mind. I didn’t understand the tan strap, lol. Or maybe I should simply turn the brightness up ...

I like the long black coat and the black headband does the job black hair would do. I also like the silver puffer for a sportier look.

Shevia, you captured the idea behind the black headband. I thought about a large black scrunchi or a big black bow holding a ponytail, but those probably would not show up.

Thank you, Sal. The white section of my closet has an optic white section ( mostly summer, a bone white section ( mostly transitional) an ivory and winter white section ( colder weather). I find ivory the hardest to wear and least attractive for me. That tone seems best when mixed with other whites. One seems the most flattering. I guess each has their best white.
Sal I do have a shorter white puffer vest. I wear it most with a winter white turtleneck.

The black coat outfit is my favourite . So striking ! I’m not personally a fan of dresses that are that much longer than the coat .

There is just enough dark lining showing on the silver puffer to create a bookend of sorts with your dark booties. That coat is a fabulous piece. I always love your white-out outfits, Joy.

I prefer the look with the black coat, I think because it pulls in the black from the footwear. You have some nice items here!

I love them both. The black coat echoes the shoes in the second outfit, and has a dressier vibe than the puffer. I would be tempted to try lighter shoes in the first outfit for more of a column of colour.

Maybe this is a casual outfit for white sneakers.

ETA: Earthy Support Act with white pants ( white jeans were in the laundry). I used spicy colors with EF bone white crepe pants and EF topper jacket and a misc. Rack top, not a sweater but textured. Boots are Born and bags are Maruca via consignment. Scarf is so old it is unknown.
